How long from Boma to Poly?

We have a 6pm ADR at Boma. We also are now going to be on a Wishes cruise departing the Poly at 7:30pm the same night. I'm calling CRO tomorrow to try to get our ADR earlier, because I don't think we'll be able to get both in safely (there are just 2 adults). However, I am worried that with FD, we won't have much leeway on the ressie. Am I correct in assuming this, and what is the best/quickest way to get from Boma to Poly? Should we just drive? The cruise is a total surprise to DBF, so I'd like to utilize Disney transportation if possible, so he doesn't suspect anything too early.

If your times remain as they are, you need to drive! You don't have a chance of using WDW transportation...and make a transfer back to the Poly in time....not happening.

If you drive, you should be able to make it in time....the only thing is have others (those being surprised) ever been to AKL? If not, you better get there early to make sure you check out the resort before you eat. Otherwise, rushing out after dinner without checking out this awesome resort will be very suspicious.

Seriously? Is that all it takes? That would be great if I could do it that way, since I've called dining and there is NOTHING earlier than 6pm on that day. I would like to arrive at Boma around 5:30pm, just to see if we could possibly get in earlier. Is that even a possibility, do you think?

Yes, he has been there before, and we will actually be there together checking out alot of the cool resorts the week before when we first arrive.

It is worth a try to get there early...you never know. But 10 minutes is about right...no more than that. We drive everywhere anymore at WDW and it rarely is more than 10 minutes to get anywhere if you know the roads. And even if you don't, they have good signs all over. I am so spoiled driving everywhere now, I am not sure I could go back to doing buses. The amount of time and aggravation we save each trip is more than worth the cost of a car rental. Especially considering all of the resort visiting we do.....
