How long for new DVC member in system?

We closed on our VWL resale on FEB 13TH, we have received our warranty deed and were told that we could contact disney on the 23rd and that we would for sure be in the DVC system. I called today and we were not in the system, and were told to contact the TSS for our membership ID, I thought that sounded strange, has anyone else had a problem being put into the system?

DVC seems to be dragging their feet lately. I've heard of DVC taking 3 weeks with recent resales. All you can do is keep trying.

It may be a backlog, or it may be that they don't make it a high priority. Could be DVC's way of discouraging people from buying resale. I've heard of other timeshare managers taking months to record a change in ownership.

The issues mentioned in this discussion is excatly why I bought directly through Disney. It was effortless.

Don't worry about it to much. Just wait a couple of days and you will be in there. I got my membership #, pin #,etc from Disney themselves. I just called the day they told me to and gave them personal info for them to find me. Disney will beable to give your account info before TSS I would think.

I was sent to Disney on 2-16...
I was told to check system on 3-2...

Of course I've been calling everyday...
No luck yet....

I ended up buying a resale through disney. I bought VWL on Saturday and was able to book my room on Thursday with no problem. I read that disney had seem to be dragging their feet opn re-sales from places like TSS and others. People seem to think Disney is trying to discourage people from buying from those places. When I was looking into the TSS store they told me it would be about 10-14 days after I closed with them that I would be able to book through disney. Give it a few more days and call again.
