I booked my Sep '05 wedding on October 13 of this year. I still haven't received my planning packet. I know that they don't start to seriously plan your wedding until 8 months prior, but I called yesterday. It turns out that my sales manager no longer works for Disney, but she had assigned me to an event manager (Lynn). I spoke with Gloria on the phone yesterday who gave me the impression that I should have received something, and told me that Lynn was in a meeting and would be calling me when she was done (1/2 an hour). That was at noon and no one ever called me. I know they are busy planning and coordinating current weddings, but they should say "she'll call within a week." Is this the way it is? I read someone else's post on here who is also getting married next September, and she had her packet.

don't worry about it yet. i booked in may and didn't recieve anything for about 3 months. even without your planning cd, they can at least email you a list of the officiants so you can book your day. email your em and request the list while you are waiting. the em's seem really busy and it may take a couple of days to hear from her. my wedding is may 21, 2005 and still have not talked to my em on the phone. i have only talked via email adn thats because i contacted her. but it is disney and they can get it planned in no time! good luck!

It may be that due to the time of year, your packet may be delayed. Traditionally Sept/Oct. is the time when new pricing for the next year is released by Disney. So, new packets are probably in production that reflect the 2005 prices. Also, the true "packet" is usually sent at the 8 month mark and will include choices of menu/cake/entertainment and hotel room prices that you will use to tell your coordinator about your choices before you receive your written contract (which they say comes at 8 months, but ours came more like 6-1/2 to 7 months before the wedding). The information that they initially send when you book your wedding is very vague and didn't help us much at all. I would recommend that you join the disneymooner website. They helped put me at ease and it is a great board just for disney brides-to-be with a lot of resources, photos, sample budgets etc., that will help you hold out until the "official" information arrives!
