How long for Guide to return call?

I made my initial call to DVC about 12 days ago, and they sent me a Dreams book over a week ago. The initial person I spoke to took most of my information, and when she transferred me to my guide, I only spoke to him briefly. He made a follow-up call Friday afternoon while I was at work, letting me know that some of the specials would be expiring soon. I called him yesterday morning and got his voice mail. His greeting message said that he wasn't available at that time, but would be returning any calls after 3 that day, so I left him a message. It's now more than 24 hours since I called him and left my message, and he still hasn't returned my call. I'm beginning to wonder if I ought to ask for another guide. Or am I being too impatient? Now that I've pretty much made up my mind to buy, I'd like to go ahead and get the transaction rolling! I'm not known for my patience, but I really thought he would have called me by now.

The answer seems to depend on your guide. When I decided to buy I left a message on Thursday and he didn't call back until saturday PM. We did the paperwork and I haven't heard from him since. I have left 3 messages since and no call back. His answer for the first delay was Thursday and Friday were his days off.

Don't mean to scare you, just my experience. You will get a call back as you are likely going to purchase.

See if you get a call tomorrow, Monday. The weekends get pretty busy. If no call, I would call him.

I can tell you that I called the guide that gave us our tour (a few months ago) and asked her to send me some current financial info since the pt cost and minimum had changed since then. The first time she sent me something that had nothing to do with what I asked her for, so I called her again and still never got the info that I asked for???

We had a similar problem when we purchased as well. We didn't receive a call back for almost a week. I actually called and requested another guide, and amazingly had a call from the original guy 30 minutes later!!! Things went very quickly and smoothly after that.

For a few days, I'd expect that some of them might have LOTS of calls to return when they come back from a day off. Also, they don't work 24/7, so they do get "weekend" days just like all of us. Some of them have weekends in the middle of the week though. If it goes a week though, I'd call and ask for a more attentive guide. We have had 5 guides over the years, and all were great except for one, and I don't think she works there anymore.

I'm getting a little discouraged. I stayed at my house all day Saturday, and stayed there until 4:30 on Sunday. When I had left my message with him on Saturday, I told him that if he couldn't reach me at my home phone number, to call my cell phone #, which I gave him. Of course, he leaves a message on my home phone at 5:17 on Sunday, after I hung around the house all day, and he doesn't even try to call my cell. I called him back this morning , got his voice mail again, left a message, but he still hasn't returned my call.

If I don't hear back from him today, I think I'm going to be in the market for a new guide.

Yeah!! He finally called! Seems like a nice guy. I guess he was just busy and I was being too impatient, as usual! It takes me a long time to make up my mind on big financial decisions like this one, but once I do, I want things to happen lickety split.
