How long for breakfast at CP?

We recently decided to do a pre-park breakfast at Crystal Palace. I am wondering about how long should I plan for it to take and what time to possibly make our first FP+ for?

I would plan an hour to be safe. Sometimes our character meal ran longer, sometimes shorter. If you have an 8am ADR and are one of the first tables in the character rotation it should be an hour or less. If it is an 8:15 or later ADR it may take longer depending where the characters are in their rotation and where you are seated.

Our ADR at CP was 8:25 on a 9am opening (April 24th, a Friday). Everyone with a pre opening ADR is let in at the same time (7:45-7:50ish) so get there early and be at the front of the pre-ADR breakfast line (all the way on the left). We were about 3 groups back from the front of the line after arriving about 7:30. By the time they started letting us in, there were about 200+ people behind us. We stopped for a few pics and still were checked in at CP by 8 and were seated by 8:10. The place was not full at all though the earlier ADR times had been sold out. We visited with all 4 characters and ate in about 30 minutes. We both had fruit and made to order omelets the first round then tried the pastries and other offerings for round 2. We didn't rush but we didn't take our sweet time either. Our server was on the ball with drinks and I asked for and paid the check while we ate. We had time for more castle pics before getting over to the rope at Adventureland. I'm sure YMMV depending on what time you're seated and when the characters come around but if your goal is to get out there by 8:55 and get ahead of the RD crowd, then my advice is to be at the front of the ADR line, check in well before 8:30 and hope they seat you early.
