How long for AP discount perk??

Does anyone know how long this perk will be in effect? I know that it's good for 2005 but wondered if anyone thinks it might be offered in 2006. My AP expires in mid-Aug. but we aren't planning a trip until Oct '06. I guess I could buy the vouchers before the end of the year but I would rather buy in 2006, closer to our trip. Any thoughts? Thanks.

There's no guarantee it will continue into 2006, that's a decision DVC will make towards the end of the year. My guess is it will continue. It's also possible the discount amount will change.

My guess is that it will continue and the discount will be the same or higher - the one fly in the ointment I see is that they might make us commit longer for a multi-year pass, also they might be looking at it from a revenue perspective and try and figure if their gross is equal or higher with the discount (in other words, did more people buy AP's than otherwise would). They will not be able to figure this out directly since DVC AP holders were not known directly to Disney as DVC members since there was no discount.

Now if they have an amazing CRM system, they might have the link between me as a DVC AP holder with the discount and a DVC AP holder without the discount (when they would not have known that I was a DVC member)

It will be interesting to see - I also assume they are figuring more AP holders = more time/people in parks = more $$$ spent on food, sundries, gifts, photos etc......

never under estimate Disney.

for the May DVC member meet - I stayed at Pop Century - I didn't tell DVC where I would be - it was a last minute idea of mind.

they still found me!!!

So don't under estimate their search engines.

I brought an annual pass this year because and only because of the DVC discount - I am pretty sure that there are others like me - who will.
