I HAD picked out which parks we would visit on their "best" days.

Wed - MK
Thurs - MGM
Fri - MK - MNSSHP
Sat - AK
Sun - Epcot

Anyway, I just realized that if we stay late for MNSSHP on Friday, there is just no way DS4 will be able to get up early on Saturday for AK.

Can we do most of AK if we go around noon or would it be better just to go on MOnday. I have read a post saying that Monday is one of the worst days at AK. Any advice on this?

P.S. We're talking about early October.

It depends on what you plan on doing. If you want to go on both walking trek's, the shows, out to Rafiki's Planet watch, ride the rides...then I would say you would have to get there earlier.

Some people believe it is a half day park while others believe it could take you a few days to get through it. It all depends on what you plan on doing. For the show like Tarzan and FoLK, they suggest you get there 30 minutes before showtime. You could walk in a few minutes before the show but not get very good seats. Use Fastpass as much as possible, that will help with wait times for rides. Being October, you might be able to skip Kali, just depends on the temps. Just know what you want to do ahead of time so there is no guessing.

We go there often for half days and only get a few things done but we really take our time and get to the shows way ahead of time for front row seats.

Whatever time you decide to get there, please enjoy it, it is a great park.

I go back and forth on AK. Sometimes we can whip right through it, others we can spend all day and still not see it all. Crowds and heat figure in there. I also think it depends on how much of the animals we are up to seeing at that time.

Put it in where you can, and make the best of it. I would make the day after MNSSHP a break day--- we were beat last year!! We made MNSSHP and the day after break days. It really helped with the kids. They were able to stay awake and enjoy MNSSHP and there's no way they would of been to a park the next day-- EVERYONE was beat. We stayed until it ended. Which was sooo worth it. At the end we walked onto Dumbo, Snow White, and Pooh-- each w/o any wait at all!!! We also did several rare character signings w/o any lines. The last 40 minutes was the best. We did so much in that short time.

We have found the Safari to be so much better in the early a.m. that it is worth doing EMH just for that reason. If you aren't staying onsite, definitely get there at opening on a non EMH day.
We like to go at opening and stay till after the 4:00 parade. We were able to do everything except conservation station and we still took it at a very leisurely pace.
