Hey everyone! I called Disney a few weeks ago (around May 11) and got the ball rolling on planning my wedding for August 2008. I told them I was interested in doing a site visit when we go down this August and the man I spoke to said that since our trip was after the "12 month mark" it wouldn't be a problem. He took all of my information and asked all the basic questions. Then he said that someone would get back to be in a few days to schedule the site visit. He even noted the places we want to see, and made sure to double check before the end of the conversation. But I haven't heard back yet.
I don't know what to do. Should I just ride it out and wait to see if they call me back? Or should I call them and ask when I might hear if we can do the site visit.

Thanks for any advice you girls can share!!

I would call again, especially since you said it's been a few weeks.

huh that's strange they didn't get back to you yet! I heard the same day I called, so if I were you, I'd call back!! Good luck!!!! :goodvibes

I heard back the same day I called too. I was assigned my wedding planner and got pencilled in for my dates..even though it was 18 months out. Call back definately. :)

When I first called I talked to someone who asked me all those questions too. That was on a Friday, they then told me that a consultant would call to speak with me on Monday. My consultant then called me Monday morning.

My wedding is in March of 08 and I called to get information the end of January this year. When I talked to my consultant I told her that I would be down in May for vacation and we set up an appointment to meet with her and to look at the Sea Breeze Point and the Boardwalk ballrooms..

I would call them back and tell them that you would like to speak with a consultant asap. My consultant actually penciled my date in when I had my conversation with her so see of they can do that. I called to make sure I was penciled in when I hit the one year mark.

Good luck with everything.

I called this morning and the fella I spoke with said 1-3 business days for a return call to discuss further. I'll let you know what happens but I would think based on others responses- you might call back to check.

I'm having problems too :sad1:

It took three phone calls before my wedding planner called me back, to book my cruise wedding for next February .....she said she'd pencil me in, took details etc. and said she would call me back in May 07...which has just come & gone.

I've made two further phonecalls to DFTW and I'm still waiting for her to call me ...:rolleyes1

OK, I am calling from the UK, so time difference may be a little trickier, but I believe the technology to do this is there !

I must say I'm a little less than impressed so far :sad2:

I'm gonna call this afternoon. I didn't think it should take this long, but I wasn't sure. I'll let everyone know how it goes!
Thanks!!:thanks:

Sorry to have taken so long! I didn't get to call them until this afternoon. But everything's fixed! Talked to two people and then a sales rep who has now taken care of everything. So I'm on my way!:cool1: Penciled in for August 18, 2008!
I'm so excited!:jumping1:
