How long for 1900 Park Fare breakfast?

We have an 8:00AM ADR for breakfast at 1900 Park Fare at the end of August during Free Dining. Do you think it is possible for us to get to the Magic Kingdom in enough time for rope drop? If not, about how long after do you think we can get there? We are two adults, two children (ages 5 and 2)

From experience...since you probably have the first seating of the day (?) and MK opens at 9am (I assume)...my answer is yes you can.

Whether or not you will, is up to a lot of different factors. 1900 is notorious for running behind so arrive early for your ADR...I'd aim for about 15 minutes early. Assuming you have the earliers seating, you should get seated shortly before or just after 8am. We were lucky enough one time to be seated at the first table where the characters came out of. Let the wait staff know you want the check as soon as she/he brings your drinks and pay as soon as she brings it (we find this seems to take forever in the World!). Then it is all up to you and the characters. We found that being in an early seating gets the characters through quick enough and yet you are not lacking for attention either.

If you miss rope drop I cannot see you being too far behind it.

If you had a later seating, I'd say don't count on it though because weh ave had horrendous waits to be seated at 1900.

1) My best guess is NO WAY.
2) You just do not have enough time to get there by 9:00am.
3) Let's try a time-table, and assume everything is on-time.
. . . get there by 7:40 to be first in line for 8:00am seating
. . . 3-min - escort to table and get seated
. . . 10-min - get to and through buffet (if kids are quick and don't need help)
. . . 5-min - return to table
. . . 30-min - eat
. . . 10-min - pay bill (assume check is brought while eating)
. . . 5-min - walk to monorail
. . . 5-min - wait for next monorail
. . . 5-min - ride to MK
. . . 3-min - walk down monorail ramp to bag check
. . . 5-min - get through bag check
. . . 3-min - get through turnstile
. . . 84-min - total
4) The only place you can shave time is eating.
5) Plus, your favorite character might come out until late in your meal.

How set in stone are the early ADRs? One year we went to the EMH rope drop at MK, then left immediately after and took the monorail to the GF for our PF breakfast. This works if you have park hoppers, and a later ADR.

Then of course after breakfast, we headed back to MK.

DisGal - I followed you're response till you got to the part about having to have park hoppers. I don't think you need park hoppers for your MK to GF then back to MK scenario but then I got worried that mabye I don't know as much as I think I do. Can you confirm?

You do not need parkhoppers to re-enter the same park in the same day.

Disneymom5 is correct. I just now signed into the boards and saw your question. I did not have hoppers, just regular tkts the day we did MK rope drop, GF breakfast, and back to MK. Sorry for any confusion.

You might be able to make it, but you won't enjoy your meal. The food will be on the buffet when you're seated at 8:00 (or by 8:10). And you can eat and be done by 8:30 to head to the monorail. But you'll be rushing your food, and you may not have seen all the characters by then. Even though the restaurant opens at 8:00, the characters don't come out for the first 15-20 minutes (I've had an 8:00 seating a number of times). Based on my experience, you can be comfortable done eating and see all the charcters by 8:45 - 8:50.

By the time you get to the monorail station, and wait for the 2nd or 3rd monorail because the monorails are full by the time they get to GF (Contemps that don't want to walk to MK, Poly guests going to MK, and probably some TTC people that think they can beat the MK monorail by taking the resort monorail), and then get through security, you'll likely be in MK by closer to 9:30.

I wouldn't try it. I doubt you could see all the characters and eat and make it to the monorail in time. I don't like to rush the character meals as that seems to ruin the fun. For comparison, we always have an 8:05 ADR for Crystal Palace, which is in the Magic Kingdom. We just make the rope drop into Tomorrowland.
