My husband needs at least an hour or an hour & 1/2 to get ready-
he takes a long shower ( I keep telling him he's not in a Coast commercial and to hurry up) and he gels his hair, dries it, brushes teeth, etc. - :badpc:

while I take about 30 mins. if i'm rushing (from waking up to makeup and hair done and ready to go out the door) to 1 full hour.

What do yall think?

1. How long does your husband take to get ready
VS.
How long you take ??

:scratchin :scratchin :badpc:

I'm a husband and I typically get ready every morning in 15-20 minutes.

If I need to hurry, I can easily do it in under 15 minutes.

There ya go :)

My DH usually on a normal day gets ready fairly quickly about 20min. However on days we are in a hurry, it never fails! He takes FOREVER!!! I can get myself and all four kids ready and we're still waiting on him! Long shower, bathroom 4 times, forever, makes breakfast! He only does this when we have to go somewhere and I mean anywhere-wether it is somewhere he wants to go or not. It's so frustrating! I don't understand it. He also is a faster driver but on the days we are in a hurry he drives like he's driving Miss Daisy-I can't stand it!

I feel better.........

My DH is ready in 10 mins. :D It takes me about an hour to get ready. Drives him nuts  LOL.

When I am in a hurry he takes forever. He cannot simply take care of combing hair, brushing teeth, putting on deodorant, etc all while he is in the bathroom at one time. Instead he first has to poke around watching TV then comb his hair, Read an article then brush his teeth, look at what is in his wallet then put on deodorant, put on his socks while watching TV some more. Play with his camcorder and then as I am heading out the door he says he needs to use the bathroom. I am up and ready to go in 20 minutes. He drives me nutsssssssssssssssss. Then there is that camcorder- DON’T EVEN GO THERE

My BF - about 15 minutes
Me - about 45 minutes

My Boyfriend 15 minutes MAX

Me 45-1:00 (I'm very slow in the morning!) :p

*I guess I should add that I would never be with a man who took longer than me to get ready! I can't deal with metrosexual men as partners! They just annoy me.*

Depends on what you mean by "ready." My DH can be clean and dressed in 10 minutes or under. But it takes a few cups of coffee for him to be *functional*. So with my 30 minutes to get ready VS. his 10 minutes + coffee drinking time, we're pretty even.

My DH is a morning person. He showers, shaves, dresses, eats a nice breakfast, reads the paper, and loads the dishwasher, all in under 30 minutes. He gets up at 6:30 and leaves for work at 6:55. Sometimes he even does "extra" stuff too, like start a load of laundry (yes, I have an awesome dh who does dishes and laundry!)

I am *not* a morning person...so I shower at night. One less thing to deal with in the morning. It usually takes me 45 minutes to get ready for church, and that's skipping breakfast (I know, it's a bad thing to do) but I end up helping my girls as well. They need help with their hair and such. DH is willing to help them, but they usually want me to do it. Sigh...

I have to work days every other weekend, and so I'm the only one getting ready then. I can get up at 7:15, be out the door at 7:35, and make it to work at 8:00 :hyper: But I just throw on my clothes, makeup, and brush my hair and I'm outta there! No extra stuff!

On weekdays, I work evenings, and I just change into my work clothes and freshen my makeup before dashing out the door. I can do it in 10 minutes :)

Laurie, DISing on her lunch break :)

I can bve ready showered and all in under 15 if I need to be but usually I take about a 30 minute shower and take my time getting ready about an hour or so. My wife can get ready showered and all she doens't wear makeup at all ready to go dressed in about 20 minutes. She thinks I am very poky and can't understand why some days I am ready in no time and other days it seems like it takes me a week to get ready.

I need at least an hour 1 hour to get ready. DH probably could do it in under 30 minutes, however somedays he taking out the trash, or doing other stuff, so he usually gets up about 45 minutes before he leaves the house.

DH and I are both early morning people. About 10 minutes for both of us, since we normally shower before bed in the evening.
I USED to have long fussy hair - once it got wet, I'd need 45 minutes just to make my hair presentable again. It was actually my love of swimming (TL and resort pools) on Disney vacations that prompted me to cut my hair short. Now I can go swimming and still be ready to go out for a nice dinner in under 15 min. once we're back at the room. It took DH a few weeks to get used to my lack of long locks, but the trade off in time made it all worth it to both of us!! And, may I add that DH now has a whole lot less hair too - only not by choice!

For me elapsed time from alarm to pulling into parking lot 45 minutes:D

SORRY i posted it in the wrong place :sad1: :sad1:
I feel so bad!!!

Sorry I didnt' know!!

My husband starts work ( 20 minutes from here ) at 7:30 each morning. He sets his alarm for 5:20. He has a routine for getting ready from which he can not deviate. It allows him to go through the process of starting his day without having to stop and think about anything. Everything is purely reflexive. For the longest time I could not understand why he would give up an hour's sleep to move at such a slow pace. But I have finally admitted it works for him.

As for me, let me snooze until the last possible minute. I function beter under pressure LOL

Kinda off topic.....3 days a week I leave the house before DH wakes up. I go to the gym (shower and dress, makeup and hair takes me 30 min) then I go to work. The funny thing is how many of these days DH and I have picked out the SAME colors to wear! (Like black shirt, tan slacks, etc)

 :p

My husband is very pokey. Typical Saturday morning routine. I get up, shower shampoo and dress. Then he starts his preparation--fills out deposit slip for the bank--have coffee--changes pants--more coffee--stares at the tv--changes shirt--combs hair etc. I'am out the door. He is pouring coffee in travel mug. I'am in the car--he went back in house for watch or checkbook or wallet or glasses or something. I'am about 30 minute he is an hour.
I also like to leave a little early for appointments he is very last minute.

I hear the expression metrosexual alot but do not know what it means--
can someone explain it to me?

Too Long, My dh definetely has bathroom issues. I honestly dont know what takes him so long to accomplish such routine things. If I wake him up at 7:10, an hour later he could still be in there. I am glad our house has 2 bathrooms if need be. He has no idea what the words "take a quick shower" mean.

Brush my teeth, shave, a shot of deodorant, a little cologne, get dressed, kiss DW goodbye & out the door to work in about 20 minutes (most of the time I shower at night before bed). I don't have much hair these days, LOL, so that's not an issue. So what's the problem?

I have a routine like faithinkarma's hubby. I get up before anyone else (5:40 am) to read the paper (sports first & then editorials-that's it) & eat b-fast. I start work at about 7:10.
