How long does your husband take to get ready in the morning?

I can be ready in 5 - 10 mins if I want to. Slow mornings take me around 30.

If we both have to take showers, we can do that and get dressed and be ready to be out the door in about 20 minutes a piece.

It takes both of us about 15 - 20 minutes to shower and dress. My hair and makeup can be done in 5 - 10 minutes. What takes the longest is getting our teenage sons out of bed!

My DH always takes a hour. Why does he need an hour?! He is in the military so he wears the same thing everyday, he has NO hair, and has everything ready to go the night before!! Yet, he spends that hour getting ready every morning....
Oh, and he is constantly using all our shampoo...but he has NO hair!

My husband takes about 20 min with shower... 30min if shower/shave.
I take 30-45min if I shower/shave... 15min more if I need to put on makeup, pluck eyebrows, etc.

What is with that??? My DH is in the USAF and you would swear he was a beauty queen getting ready in the am. princess: I know those shirt garters with the blues can be tricky...but you are right, they wear the same thing everyday and it takes him forever to get out of the house.....

My DH is such a girl too....even on the days he wakes up at 4:45 for P/T with the cadets, he still showers!!! He is going to work out and shower again in an hour...and 3 x a week, he wakes me up early taking his shower so he can go sweat! Grrr!!!

Oh, and he also has very little....and very thin hair.....but needs his "products"!!!

It's a good thing he's cute!! :smooth:

15 or so minutes to shower and dress........

............ that is, after two hours (give or take ;)) of hitting the snooze

But I love 'im. :)

If my husband has to shower and dress I SWEAR it takes him atleast an hour!:earseek: Now me on the other hand, I can be perfect and pretty in 20 minutes flat!::yes::

I wake up at 7:00, shower get dressed and eat breakfast and am in the car by 7:30.

:-) My fiancee on the other hand...

Dh gets showered and dressed in under 20 minutes for work...but if we have to go someplace it takes him forever. He has a beard so he doesn't shave, except on weekends when he trims it.

I can be ready for work in 45 minutes from start to finish...with eating breakfast....but most days i am up for almost 3 hours before I start work. There is DH to get ready, 3 kids to get up and off to school...and only 1 bathroom. Guess who gets it first?

I also do laundry, dishes and all sorts of odds and ends pickups before I leave the house. I make my lunch, make phone calls etc. All before 9:00am.

If he is so inspired, my dh can get ready pretty quickly. However that is only when he is anxious to go - and it would take him a lot to hurry, like maybe someone dying. Generally he takes almost an hour - longer if he has responsibility for the kids. I can get up, shower, get the kids up, feed them breakfast and monitor their toothbrushing etc.,make lunches, feed the dog, dry & curl my hair and put on makeup all in 45 minutes if I have to. I do usually get up 1 1/2 hours before we leave though - that includes time for tidying the house and some time on the computer.

My dh is not primping, he simply hates to hurry. Like someone else mentioned he drives like a demon unless I am in a hurry - then he drives really slowly. If he feels like he is being rushed he sloooooows doooowwwn (can you say passive aggresive?). He is an engineer and believes there is an order to everything and planning is what keeps that order. He is not the kind of person you say "hey, why don't we go to the movies - there's a show starting in 20 minutes" to.

DH eats a full breafkast and works out for an hour (right now he is doing kick boxing, but sometimes he runs). This all usually happens at 3:30 am! Then he jumps in the shower and is dressed and ready to go within 10 minutes. I'm so jealous of that part!

sounds like my eldest DS.......he takes forever & a day. DH is a different kettle of fish, he only takes about 20 mins.

It takes a lot longer than you would think to be able to spruce up this mug of mine. Ma takes forever in the bathroom in the morning, and seeing as we share a small 2 bedroom with only one bath, I have to wait for her to do her normal morning routine before I can even get in there.

Luckily, my postal route doesn't start until after 10am, so I have time to get ready.

Interestingly enough, recent studies show that contrary to popular belief, men actually do take longer than women, on average, in the bathroom in the morning. My buddy Normy tells me that his wife is usually ready in fifteen minute, that is when he's actually home to witness her morning routine.

When I am in a hurry he takes forever. He cannot simply take care of combing hair, brushing teeth, putting on deodorant, etc all while he is in the bathroom at one time. Instead he first has to poke around watching TV then comb his hair, Read an article then brush his teeth, look at what is in his wallet then put on deodorant, put on his socks while watching TV some more. Play with his camcorder and then as I am heading out the door he says he needs to use the bathroom. I am up and ready to go in 20 minutes. He drives me nutsssssssssssssssss. Then there is that camcorder- DON’T EVEN GO THERE

he's playing with the camcorder in the bathroom and bedroom....?????:earseek: :earseek:

ditto what Jason said....takes me about 10 minutes to get ready though..lol...DW..30 minutes(if i'm lucky)

Hey Cliff..:wave2:
