How Long Does the Review Take for Online Check In?

I was finally able to check in and had to take pictures of our passports and upload our "selfies" for online check-in. That was done on Saturday and is still showing as "Pending Review." How long does this process normally take?

The lady who checked me in took forever to examine my passport and I really questioned why we even have to submit it ahead of time.

I haven’t personally experienced it, but people have said that even if you aren’t cleared before sailing they will just take care of it at the port (assuming you have the proper documents).

That's a relief. I thought this process was replacing the in-person process, so it was making me nervous that it was taking longer than I would have thought.

Our was about 10 days after I did it on line. This drove me nuts and I kept asking the same question. There is no notification that it does clear, you just have to keep on checking it.

My last cruise it was about a week, the cruise before that it wasn’t done until about 2 days before sailing. Like others said nothing to stress about it.

I believe they approve them the week of the cruise so they're only approving the ones still reserved as a lot of shifting happens up to 1 week before due to COVID exposures, etc.

I’m set to sail next Monday and it still shows a pending status. I’m not worried about it at all. Everything else is good to go.

This is us too! I think other people on our cruise are starting to get notification of being cleared today.

The website says they are supposed to notify you once clear. Sounds like I don't need to worry about it, but I'm checking it anyway.

Between the pending online checkin and the pending approval on Safe Passage, I feel like Ive never had such a stressful time booking a vacation. Neither thing should really be a big deal, but it’s definitely giving me anxiety.

It feels like it takes FOREVER!
But a few days before sailing it should be completed. Worst-case-scenario me hates that because I don't like last minute surprises.

Our Safe Passage approval came through last week, but we sail out on Saturday and our guest information still shows pending. Most nerve wracking thing ever!

We are approaching our check in date. I see that we have to upload pictures of ourselves and passports. And there are 4 of us on this reservation in 3 different locations. We don't want anyone to email a picture of their passport. Can everyone check in with the Navigator app to upload their passport / picture?

Is there someplace that walks you through everything that is needed for check in (like screen mock ups). We've only done this 20+ times in the past and the last time was 2018 (so forever ago). Things have changed.

We know about the Safe Passage web site that we will need to get set up on 15 days before sailing and our covid vax status uploaded. I understand that everyone needs their own login / upload, etc.

Anything else that "new" that we need to know?

Thanks.
