We are waiting on ROFR and was wondering how long it usually takes? I know Disney has 30 days to respond but typically how long is the wait?

Depends on how busy they are. It can take up to 30 days which is the norm, but I have seen to done in 10. I would count on 30.

DVC passed on my contract in 2 business days (5 calendar days due to Memorial day weekend). I think my case was extraordinary, though it shows you that DVC can act quickly.

That is a record! :thumbsup2

It must have been a mistake. :lmao:

Disney doesn't have any reason to shorten the time line and IMO they usually take their time to punish buyers who buy via resale.

Hey, I agree with you!!! I still can't believe that I had our points in my account 5 weeks after I made the offer!!! It had to be the quickest resale in DVC history!!!!!:cool1::cool1:

We passed ROFR on 7/11 after waiting about 14 days.

We have sent in our closing documents and bank check. Now we are just waiting for the sellers.

WE just passed ROFR last week. It took about 14 days for the contract we are buying and just 6 days for the one we are selling.

I also passed Disney's ROFR on 7/11/11. It took about 2 weeks. I am still waiting for the closing documents and therefore haven't sent in my final payment yet.

Mine took over 30 days but my paperwork was lost in the shuffle somewhere. I would recommend calling the resale company between 14 and 21 days for a status update. If I had been more insistant that they check on my contract at that time I don't think I would have had to wait until the last minute.

2 days and counting! So excited, and really hoping that it takes less then 30 days! Good Luck everyone!

Ours was sent to Disney yesterday, so here's to hoping it'll be 2 weeks or less... :worship:

Disney has 30 days for ROFR but they have been fairly quick and responding in about 3 weeks. Remember you can always call your re-sale sales associate with any concerns.:cool1:

Day 24 ... will anything happen this weekend or is it a Monday - Friday thing?
