Is there a waiting period and how long is it if so? Also is there a blood test?
DF and I were planning on getting married in Vegas but now I'm wondering about Fl. as we'll be moving there right before we get married.
It will most likely be a small JP wedding as it will be just us then I'd like to go somewhere nice to eat at Disney after.
May be back asking about restaurants LOL.

As long as you're not residents of FL you can get a licence immediately from the Courthouse. Bloodtests are not required just proof of identity such as a birth certificate or passport or driving licence. If previous marriage ended in divorce outside of the State of FL within the past 12 months a copy of the decree is also required.

Even though I would have been divorced just over a year I am taking my decree with me just in case.

HTH Jana and it would be great if you both decided on Florida but then I think Vegas would be a hoot too.

BTW Many Congratulations to you both (sorry they're belated) - I know you'll be very happy, I heard this most wonderful news whilst I was in WDW and I haven't had a chance to congratulate until now :Pinkbounc

Edit
Just read your post again and I saw that you're planning on moving there - in that case there is a 3-day waiting period for FL residents.

In both cases the marriage licence will be issued at the time of application and is valid immediately and must be used within 60 days although some FL counties require the licence to be used within 30 days.

V&A would be a great place for a meal if it's just the two of you - very romantic but that's if you want to dine at WDW.

Thank you Sam.
I think it will have to be one of the GF restaurants. When I was there in 98 I stood waiting for a monorail at the GF and wished for a man. My description in my wish fits Vernon to a T. So I would love to go back to that same spot on our wedding night.
I will always believe there is magic in Disney :).

Awwwww Jana that is so sweet - I'm so happy for you :Pinkbounc

I ate at Narcoosees and it was lovely - dimmed lights and we saw Wishes and the Electric Water Pageant. But it was a littl noisy.

I believe Citricos is quieter and we're going to give that a try on our next trip.

We're doing V&A on our honeymoon and we're going to really dress for it and have some fun :)

Let me know how both are if you would. As it stands now we have no idea when the wedding will be as we have to wait for the fiance visa to get approved ( anywhere from 3 to 6 months).

You can try A Wedding For You, Inc. I used them and it took about 2 1/2 weeks to get everything done. It was simple. You fill out the form online, fax it to them. They will call you to get payment. I used a credit card. Then they will fedex it to you. You have ito sign it in front of a notary and send it back. I went to the UPS Store. It cost $5 to notarize. A Wedding For You will send it to Disney Weddings when they are done with it, and it will be waiting there for you. If you are not a FL resident, which it looks like you aren't, this is all you need to do. No classes or blood test. Here's the website. www.aweddingforyou.com I hope this helps.
