OK so we have ADR at Narcoossee's for 7:15 and we also booked the wishes dessert party at 9:15 is this cutting it too close?I can't get an earlier time :sad1:what would be a good Sub,We love seafood (ME) steak(DH) we will have DXDP and it is our Anniversary dinner so we would like somthing nice thanks for the tips :flower3:

I do think that is cutting it a bit close, but my biggest concern would be whether I could manage to indulge in the offerings of the dessert party straight after a full meal. I didn't look at your ticker - have you still got some time? I would keep trying for an earlier reservation if possible.

I do believe it would be cutting it close.

Eating at any signature restaurant is going to run close to 2 hours. It is designed that way to enhance your dining experience. (which is what sign. dining is about)
You are expected to take your time between courses.

The staff and kitchen are also set up this way if I am not mistaken. So it is not normal to be in and out at these places quickly.

Of course you can always let your server know you are on a time schedule, but it won't guarantee anything.
Also why would you want to hurry thru this meal?

Personally I would either change one or the other or you run the risk of not enjoying either.

Totally agreed with Nadjalu. You are going to have to leave Narcoossee's at least 30 min. (very likely 45 min.) before the fireworks to make it to MK and the Wishes Dessert Party in time. If you need 45 min. to get to the Wishes Dessert Party for 9:15 p.m., this means you only have 1 hour and 15 min. for your anniversary dinner at Narcoossee's. I know Disney servers are capable of rushing a meal, but I still think that is not enough time to enjoy a special meal--especially when you can count on a view of the fireworks from the verandah at Narcoossee's!

I agree with the PP that you will be tight for time, not to mention way to full to enjoy the desserts at the dessert party, especially on DxDp.

If it were me I would skip the Dessert party and enjoy your meal at Narcoossee. IMO I found the dessert party to be mediocre at best.

If your heart is set on the dessert party you could check to see if there is an early dining time at Citricos, or at the California Grill. You may be able to get a 5:45reservation which will give you more breathing time between dinner and the party.

I also wondered about the California Grill. The beauty of this, if you can get a reservation, is that you can watch the fireworks and have your dessert there as part of your anniversary meal. I am not sure if you had to choose what is important to you. Do you want to be IN the Magic Kingdom for the fireworks or do you just want to watch them from somewhere comfortable? If it is the latter, somewhere like the California Grill will save you clock-watching and rushing - not something I would want to be doing for a special meal.

I was not even thinking when I made the Dessert reservation ,We are going in OCT first weekend I have been checking for earlier times and have not seen any ,I was wondering how flying fish would compare I have never been to either so I guess it wouldn't matter ,and I can get a way earlier time there that way we won't be stuffed and can enjoy the dessert party ,man I am trying to work out now I don't even want to know how much weight I will put on in 4 days :rotfl:

would not even try to do the Dessert party the same night as a signature deluxe meal...even if you get done eating by 7:30 (assuming an early 5:30 reservation, since that seems to be the earliest signature opening time)...anyway, less than 2 hours later at 9:15 you are not going to be the least bit hungry, guaranteed. You will Still be stuffed 2 hours later, not kidding you. Have you ever done the Deluxe dining plan before? You'll get bread or rolls, then an appetizer for each of you (not to split--you each get one) And then entree with side accompaniaments...then dessert (again, one for each of you.) You'll be lucky to be hungry by breakfast the next day. BTDT. Unless you just want the guaranteed viewing spot for Wishes, cancel the dessert party...total waste. When we do the deluxe dining, we schedule at least 5 hours between meals, and are NEVER hungry for a snack between meals...not even a nibble. And we're BIG eaters, in every sense of the word.
