How long does it take to close a new contract?

My DH and I finally bought at AKV on 12/21/07 We have been going to DW for many years, but couldn't get ourselves to buy. We've also rented points twice.

Now I'm waiting for our contract to close so I can bank the 2007 points. I'm concerned we won't close in time to use the banked points to make 11-month reservations for Christmas week.

Anyone have recent experience with this? We did use the financing.

Welcome home! It sounds like you purchased directly from Disney. If so then you do not need to wait until you have closed to bank the points and make reservations. Just give MS a call. It can take a couple of months to close.

I think you can start booking & banking etc. within 24 hours of your deposit. I booked my homecoming before I even signed the papers.

Thank you for the replies. I guess I need to call MS again. They said I had to wait to close to bank my 2007 points. I made reservations with the developer points, but want to make Christmas reservations with 2007 points.
