lab results from your doctor's office? I had some blood work done last Friday (typical tests) and I haven't heard yet. I'll call on Monday to find out.

Usually 4 days or so. I would call them on Monday...seems like plenty of time.

At my newest place, it took 1 full day. They have the lab there though and get things done ASAP (this was for a ton of blood work & tests). Another place I went had 2 weeks. I'd call on Monday though, if I were you... it couldn't hurt And I hope all is well with you, Rita

I have to say it has never taken this long before, I'll just call on Monday. It was just routine lab work. I usually call them for the results, but this time I thought I'd wait for them to call me.

It should depend on what type of "lab work" it is. I mean, it's physically impossible to do a culture & sensitivity in 4 days.

You should call your doctor. If they're anything like me, they have a stack of people to call, and people who call looking for results get bumped to the top. Others often will come in for re-check appointments before I get to make their call.

This always makes me laugh when people complain about our taking an hour to run a barrage of tests on their pet. I want to tell them that I could do it like their physician does and make them an appt in a few days at the local lab and then call them in 2 weeks with their results, and then possibly send them back for more tests. (the isn't directed towards physicians or their procedures; it's for the people who think that an hour is a long time to get bloodwork done).

Doc, it wasn't a C & S. I think it was CBC, lipid profile & TSH levels. I had the lab work done at my doctor's office. He initially sent me to the Quest Diagnostics lab to get it done, but that place is a total nightmare (long story).
