How long does it take for the boat from BC to Epcot?

I was wondering how long the boat from BC takes to get to Epcot. I have heard 20 min. and that it is much faster to walk. We have 3 year old twins, so I would like to conserve as much energy as possible on our way there. How long does it take to walk to Epcot?

The walk from the BC to the Int'l Gateway at Epcot is around 5 minutes tops. I think it actually might be longer to walk to the YC marina where you pick up the boat.

I agree, the walk to the Dock may be longer, and then a wait for the boat, standing around!. It is a nice walk to the International gateway, 5 minutes seems right

Maybe that 20 minute time estimate for the Friendship launch included the wait time. I think once you are on it you go directly across the lake to BWI side to pick up and then up to Epcot. The ride takes maybe 10 minutes.

Of course walking is faster ~ no waiting for boat to arrive or load passengers. But the boat ride is kind of fun and relaxing. If you are in a hurry, then go ahead and walk it. From YC/BC it can't be more than 5 minutes, walking slow.

It's about 20 minutes from YC to International Gateway--hobbling! That was my speed in August, 2003. Took the Friendship launch after that!

Walked it in December, 2004, and it's about 10 minutes from the rear door of YC at a moderate pace. I'm short with correspondingly short legs, so adjust accordingly!

With your twins you might want to walk over, and ride the boat back when everyone is more likely to be tired.
