How long does dinner at Palo take?

We're going to be booking the REAS package and have a few ideas about which night we want to dine at Palo, but I'm wondering how long dinner takes. I know the hours for Palo are 6-11pm. Are there set dinner times like at the rotational restaurants or is like a regular restaurant with staggered times?? Thanks!

From what I can tell, it's like a regular restaurant with staggered times. I've seen other tables arriving and departing at different times than we did, plus we got to choose our time, so I'm pretty sure that's how it works. I would plan on an hour and a half for dinner as an average - I'm sure you can get out faster or linger if you choose!

Our server--wonderful Kristof--told us right at the start that unless we preferred otherwise, we would be going at a leisurely pace. I'd guess we (me, dh, and another couple) took close to 2 hours.

I took us 1 1/2 hours which was nice since dinner in the dining rooms took about 2 hours and DH and I are quick eaters.

First time at Palos it took us about 1 1/2 hours but the second time it was way too long about 2 1/2 to 2 3/4 hours. We were not thrilled at all with this. We sat for a long time between each course and waited about 45 min for dessert. The people dining with us ended up leaving becasue they didn't want to wait any longer. We had Louise as a server. I have always heard everyone rave about her but we will not request her again. Also we had a child in flounders and had to pay extra which we weren't planning on.

DH and I haven't done Palo yet, but we want to double-dip so we can still dine w/our DD at AP. (We don't want to miss any of our rotation nights.)

I'm glad I read this, so I can tell our server that we still wish to make our 8:30 dinner seating. I hope he/she will work with us.
