How Long Does Character Bkfst Take?

I am working on my touring plan for 4/25-4/27 and we have PS for a Character Breakfast Tuesday morning at 7am. The park doesn't open until 9am that day.

1) How long is reasonable to plan for the breakfast?
2) I'm staying on-site so I think I have EE both Tues & Thurs due to that unofficial policy, is there time to try to get in before the park opens to all?
3) What is the best way to get from Goofy's Kitchen to the Park? The main gates or the Monorail?
4) Anything else I should be thinking of as I plan that morning?

I would allow 60-90 minutes. You can cut it shorter if you need to, its not going to take that long to actually eat, but you wont see as many characters.

Because its your first day in the park, I would enter thru the main gate. There is just nothing like it. I would eat, and head straight over to the park. Some people say 45 minutes early, others 30, others day get there at opening. We havent found that it makes a huge difference.

Usually when booking priority seatings for any Disneyland character meals I am told there is a 90 minute maximum.
