how long do you usually stay at disney for?

We seem to add a day each time we go and still wish we had more... next time we are shooting for 9 nights. I would really like to do 10, but with work and school we cant yet manage that. We take breaks and do some brunches with later starts so we need at least 7 park days to feel we see what we want. I never want to skip things!!!! I think 10 would be perfect... or 2 weeks with days to relax!

10 days is perfect....we've done less and wished we could stay longer. At 10 days, we are never sick of it, but feel like we've had our "fill"--a good long vacation.

This year I only did 11 days total. I did 7 nights at POP, 2 nights at CBR and 2 nights at Comfort Inn LVB. I did not get my fix. I have stayed up to 23 days but I would do some Disney, Nick Hotel, and off site to get the shopping and relaxing.:thumbsup2.

All that I can say is that it never seems long enough. We have stayed 4 and 5 nights and it never seems to be enough time. I guess that maybe we will have to stay longer next time

We stayed for 6 nights and i was glad in the end that we added the extra two nights (4 would definitely not have been enough). During that time we stayed at CR so i was able to tackle most of MK (i spent 4 days exploring the MK i absolutely loved it), Epcot, and 1/2 day Hollywood Studios. Next time i would like to stay longer so we have time to do Downtown Disney and to add the waterpark options onto our tickets. Over a week is good, more than that is even better if you can afford to do it and have the extra time.

We stayed 13 nights/14 days last time. We were burnt out because we had 10 day passes PLUS we went to Universal 2.5 days. We literally too NO time off. We also drove 24 hours there, and back.
We knew we couldn't go less than 10 days. For us it's just not worth it, so DH booked 14 nights this time. lol. BUT we only got 7 day passes. We figured that last time it wasn't the length of the vacation, it was how hard we pushed ourselves.

In June we did 8 nights/9 days. We LOVED it! Never felt rushed. Personally I could stay 2 weeks, but work schedule just doesn't allow it.

We usually don't go for less than 10 days. More if we can. Flying is an expense because we have to buy so many tickets so we want to get the most out of it. I also feel that the first day and last day are really travel days so they don't count as part of the trip. We just did 14 days and it was fabulous. I am hoping to spend a month next time.

We often stay 8-9 nights and we don't feel it's long enough. Next time we go, we really really want to go for 2 weeks. My kids are good for the parks till noon-1 and that's it. Then it's back to the resort and pool bound. We also want to go to Kennedy Space Center next time, and take them to sea world.

We're from the UK and have stayed 3 x 21 nights :woohoo:but are only doing 14 nights this october.....bummer!;)

We usually do 8 days and we always leave feeling like we want a few more days. We're hoping to go for 6 days in December, are booked for 8 days in March and 10 days in June. I'm dreaming of going for 12ish days over a Christmas season in the next few years.

While more time is probably always better, I wonder if that "okay, I'm ready to go home" feeling differs based on how crowded the parks are. I'm dreaming of a lengthy Christmas stay because I know it'll be REALLY crowded and I can imagine getting less done in the parks each day due to lines and just the general volume of people. Perhaps I'd get *cringe* bored more quickly if we went for 12 days during a timeframe when crowds were really low. ...especially with my kids who love to ride the same things over and over again. Twelve days of Barnstormer might kill my back! LOL

We go around 7 days, it's pretty perfect for us, though we just do disney and a small bit of Orlando shopping. (Not counting DTD)

10 nights is nice for me cause the first 4 days I dont do much of anything but sit in a hammock at the poly for a few hours then I will go to DTD. The last 6 days I will go to the parks.

2 weeks, with 6 park days, at least 4 WP days and at least one day at a park outside of WDW -- this year it was SW. But Canadian airfare is pretty expensive, so we would never do multiple short trips each year.

For us it just has depended on the age of our kids at the time. When they were under 4, 5 days was more than enough because they just were worn out after that (even with naps in the middle of the day). Now that they are 10, 6, and 5, I have to agree that 10 days is ideal.

We are going for 10nights/11days in Feb. and I would love to add a few more days if I could work it into our schedule.

The last time we went which was Jan 2008 we went7days/6nights and it was not enough.

we try for 8 or 9 nights. 10 is just too long, the pixie dust has stopped working that last day. LOL We don't do less than 8, ever. Not long enough. This last trip in May ended up being a 13 day road trip, we spent 2 days with In-laws in Georgia and then a couple of days driving. :)

We returned last week from a trip of 12 days 11 nites. I was ready to STAY and not come home....totally could have used a few more days of Florida Sun and relaxing at resort...my dh was ready to leave days before (though he was not feeling well and in some pain) ...my ds was fine with the length this year. It was a longer stay than we've done last few years (usually 8/7) but I thought we'd enjoy it and we did.

Our shortest trips are 3/2 but its too short and costly (we fly in from NY) so, thats when we or should I say I am just Really needing a Disney visit :rotfl2:
The dh has already said no Disney in '10, but I am planning on a quick trip to poly or Contemp (with contemp being the favorite) in 10/10, as we have another Big trip planned out of the country....we'll see.........:rolleyes1

Years ago an 11/10 day trip was something we said we would Never do again, but times (and kids get older) change and it was an amazing trip this year. I cannot wait to go back............for me it is a state of mind, and I love it.........:lovestruc

11 nights was a bit too long for us. By the last couple days, the kids were really missing their dogs, their friends, and their beds. 8-9 nights is the sweet spot; anything shorter gets to feeling rushed or not leaving time to enjoy our resort but anything longer and the kids start getting a little homesick.

The past 3 years we have done 10-day trips. When we first booked it we thought it was going to be to much, we had never done such a long trip to WDW in the past. However, it was perfect and looking forward to the day when time-wise we can afford to do two weeks. This year we are only doing 9 days and I keep hoping our airline will change our time and I can just add on a day without any flight change charges....either that or maybe Chicago will have another snow storm on our departure day!;)
