How Long Do The Buses Run

HELLO EVERYONE,

I JUST MADE A PS FOR 6PM AT THE RAINFOREST (ANIMAL KINGDOM) IN JAN. I JUST LOOKED AT THE PARK HOURS FOR THAT MONTH AND DISCOVERED THAT THE PARK CLOSES AT 5PM. CAN SOMEONE TELL ME HOW LONG AFTER THE PARK CLOSES DOES THE BUSES RUN. I FIGURE WE SHOULD BE DONE DINNER BY 7:30/8:00.

Special Rainforest buses will run until 8:45pm.

One thing I will say though... with the park closing at 5:00pm, buses won't be picking up inbound for AK from the resorts much after 4:45, so you might want to take that into consideration.

I saw the subject of the post and thought it was going to be one of those "How long do the buses run?" ... "Why, until they run out of fuel, of course" posts. I know, I know. It's Friday after all.

LOL... sadly enough, I've seen that happen once. Typically, every night, buses get refueled, cleaned, inspected, and washed. After this is done, they get parked, and are not allowed to be used. However, on rare occassions (ie: Christmas) when we're desperate for buses, a few might get pulled.

When buses get processed, they get a date mark on the window. After this one bus was parked for the 2nd time, I guess they thought it was good to go for the next day since it had the proper date. Well... it made it through most of the day, and then ran out of fuel late the next night in Coronado Springs. Ooops!

It's actually kind of surprising. The RTS's have 125 gallon tanks, and can typically go 800-1000 miles on a tank. We typically do only 300 miles per day, so in theory a bus should be able to last 2 days. Of course, when you're talking about two 20hr days with a bus that might be running rich... it's a possbility.

(The Nova's typically get 3x better fuel economy, so I seriously doubt it would happen with them)
