How long do I wait?

How long do I wait for my waitlist to come through before I start freaking out????!!!
We leave in 11 days and am waitlisted for the last night, May 7 at the BW. I tried other resorts and everything is booked and we will be staying at the BW so would prefer to just stay there. Have many people here had their waitlist come through a few days before you left? I have it set up so if it comes through, they automatically book it and link the ressie so I hopefully won't have to move the last night. Shoud I book a cash ressie somewhere just in case? I don't know what to do!

Hi, there are people who have had their waitlist come through at 3 days or less, I remember someone calling from the airport and getting what they wanted. Me, I would definitely book something on site and be prepared to move. I hope you are lucky!

6 of the 7 days for our BW view 1 bedroom came through a few days before our arrival. While we were there the last day came through. We did have another room booked just in case. Remember to call everyday once you get to 7 days because there is no waitlist after you reach 7 days out from arrival. Good luck!

I was going to mention about calling day by day the last week, too. Also, did you call at the 30 day mark and tell them you wanted to stay on the waitlist?

I called today and I am still on the waitlist and was told to try day by day at the 7 day mark, which is in 2 days!!! Also, I had them check other resorts, views and everything was booked!! There was a 1 bedroom at SSR. But, I don't want to be in a 1 bedroom for 1 night. I prefer not to switch at all. Also, I tried to book the BW at a cash ressie and it was also booked!! I can't win. So, I will just wait it out and keep my fingers crossed.

Well, last year I had a reservation at SSR and waitlisted for the BW. I called to confirm my reservation at the 7 day mark and my waitlist had come through already and they were sending my confirmation. So, although I am a terrible waitlister, (I hate to wait), it does work.

I would wait, call, and have faith. We were there over President's day weekend and my brother was in a cabin at the campground. They told him that they could book his cabin for all but the last day. On the last day, they managed to extend him for the last day so he and his family didn't have to move. Pixie dust to you!
