I had a listing on ebay that ended 12-17-2005. It stated that payment was due 3 days from the end of the auction by paypal or money order. My buyer was from Wisconsin and I live in KS. I realize that 3 days might not be enough time to get a MO here, but I havent heard from her at all.

I sent her an invoice the night the auction ended, and then today 4 days afterwards, I sent her another email saying I needed to hear from her one way or the other about payment. If not I would be forced to relist the item and give neg feedback.

I didnt hear from her and now I dont know what to do. Is there a certain amount of time I have to let pass by before I relist or since I didnt hear from her, I can go ahead and put it back on.

ANy help you can be would be greatly appreciated.

I would at least wait 7-10 days since that's ebay's time to wait to hear from her. Then you can file a NPB form and hopefully they will come around. It's definately too early to relist now since only 4 days have past.

If you want to have the final value fee refunded, you should apply for and wait for that before re-listing the item.

If you want to, you can put a time limit for payment in yhour item description. But don't make the time limit too short, it takes time for payments to go through regular mail.

Also, if you have a spam filter on your email account, turn it off completely. The buyer's email replies could have been wiped out by your spam filter just because an advertising message happened to be at the bottom of it.

Your emails could have been ignored because the buyer had a spam filter. Using the eBay NPB procedure often gets around the buyer's spam filter.

I just received payment from an auction that ended on Sunday. In spite of me sending both an invoice and an email to the buyer, I never heard from them until the PayPal payment came. Life happens. Emails get lost. 3 days is not a lot of time to allow a buyer to get a payment to you. Some buyers need to wait until pay day to get that money order or make that PayPal payment. It would be nice if buyers emailed sellers right away to let them know when to expect payment. It would happen in a perfect world but not this one.

I think you should allow at least 7-10 days to receive payment. If you have not heard from the buyer by then, begin the NPB process. Don't be surprised if this doesn't spur your buyer into action. Some people just need a shove instead of a gentle nudge to get things moving.

Thanks for your support!

I FINALLY got a email from her last night and she said she had sent the money. Just didnt know that she needed to let me know that. She is new to ebay, so that played into it too I'm sure.

Either way, payment is on its way! Thanks!
