I am trying to decide whether or not I need to take a long lunch or half a day off tomorrow. Ive got my planning session at noon then I will be transfered over to floral...although I dont have that much floral to discuss..I dont think? How long do these usually last? TIA :goodvibes

I don't think a long lunch would work. Also things obviously don't always run on time. We were a good 4 hours in total I would say.

My planning session was in person and took around 6 hours. I wouldn't think the phone session would take as long since you don't have to worry about going from site to site. If you have the ability to take a half day though I say take the half day. That way you won't feel rushed on the phone and can take your time discussing and/or asking whatever questions you may have.

Have fun!!! :yay:

Yes, I am a dork. PHONE session!!! Heh heh - long lunch, presuming you have flexibility just in case should be fine!

My planner told me the planning session would last 4 hours and then floral would be on top of that. I'm sure they say that just to prepare you but I went ahead and took the afternoon off anyway for my planning session next week. I knew that I would be miserable sitting there hoping that we were finished in time for me to make it back to work!

I was on the phone for both sessions for less than an hour each. I already had everything I wanted picked out though. If you know exactly what you want it should speed things up.

My phone planning session was about an hour, and floral was the same. I also didn't have much floral (see pj/tr for details) but it still was about an hour for floral, maybe a little less.

My floral appointment was a solid hour or maybe a few minutes over. I had a pertty good idea of what I wanted, but Rosie was great at making some suggestions based on what I told her I liked, (eg. ways to save money or the costs for a couple of changes I wanted to make).
If you have flexability on your lunch hour than I would say to do that, but if not, you really don't want to be rushed and looking at the clock. This is a fun time to enjoy and you don't want to make any rush decisions because you need to get back to work!

Thank you everyone! I took a half a day off, thank goodness! I am really looking forward to this but for some reason feel as though I may be missing some sort of preparation or something..could be just nerves. Do we just email back and forth pictures? If so, it probably would take some time! :rotfl2: I have so many!! Thanks again, yall! :goodvibes

It took 3 hours. However I am using Disney Floral for just about nothing so if you are using them for more than I would estimate more time would be necessary. Overall, Im SO glad I took the half day off and I feel SO relieved now after this phone call! Ive had my reservations in the back of my mind about my planner, DFTW as a whole, and how this would all come together but after today I am completely confident it will be GREAT! :thumbsup2

Thanks for sharing that! I keep hoping that I will feel that way after my planning session next week too. I'm so glad they made you feel better! It's tough when you don't hear anything for months!!
