Please don't turn this into a debate thread. In fact, don't even mention your candidate. Just let us know how long you waited to vote.

I waited 5- 10 min - just got back. I heard it was a 40 min wait this morning -early.

Since we now live in Illinois, we can vote early and vote often! :yay:

Of course your poll choices are a little inflammatory (ie "shame on you").

It was a walk-through for me (well, it took a half hour to walk the two miles to the polling place, and a half hour to walk home, but other than that....)

Voted shortly after the polls opened and only waited about 15 minutes.

We walked in at 9:10 AM today. There was nobody in line. I saw the lines at early voting were very long.

Thank you early voters!

My choice was to get to work on time or to be late and vote. I chose to work.

I was there 10 min after the polls opened and waited about 45 min in line.

About 20 minutes or just over for early voting last Monday afternoon.

The polls in my little town didn't open until 10 am! I got there at exactly 10, and there were about a dozen people in front of me. When I got back out to my car, it was 10:12.

Although I live in an early voting state I waited until today so I could be in the moment. I was in line about an hour.

With all of the hype about "record turnout", I was expecting a longer wait. I went at the usual time for me (~7:40) during the first hour rush and was surprised that the line was "normal" for a Presidential election... and we don't have early voting here. Waited about 5-10 minutes.

I went about 6:45 a.m. I walked in, it took the people a second to find my name, I voted and was out the door in less than 3 minutes.

I was very afraid the line would be out the door. I have two little kids and I could not have waited for more than 1/2 hour.

I did my duty. Now it's up to the rest of America.

I waited less than 5 minutes at the local Moose Lodge. I was expecting to wait a long time, but it was happily not the case. Not sure if the absentee voting helped or I went in a little after 9:30, or what. We had paper ballots. It was the first time I ever voted.

Can you go after work? Here (in Ontario, if not in all of Canada) you're entitled to 3 hours off to vote if necessary. For instance, if you work from 9-6 and the polls are open from 9-8, your employer has to let you go at 5 so you have a chance. Or say it's 11-8 that you work, you don't have to be in until 12. Make sense?

I really hope you get a chance!!

Mine isn't completely accurate. I put I didn't wait, I voted early. But I sure as heck DID wait- one and half hours. It was well worth it.
