I have asked this in another post, but never got a reply. Does anyone know if the bus that goes from Magic Kingdom to Fort Wilderness stops anywhere else first? I wonder if we could make it in about 30 mins??

I have no idea about the bus, but I know you could make it in 30 minutes by boat. Is there some reason you want to take the bus?

We are racing against the clock to get from MK to the Horseback Trails at the entrance of Fort Wilderness within an hour or less. We are scheduled for a 830am Keys to the Kingdom tour which I think takes about 4 1/2 to 5 hrs, which would put us finishing around 1pm and we need to check in for our trail ride at 2pm. Just wasn't sure how long it would take to get from the marina at Ft Wilderness to the resort entrance if we took the boat, so I thought the bus might be faster if it was nonstop.

Sometimes the FW buses stop at the Wilderness Lodge. I have never taken a bus directly from the MK to FW, we usually took the boat. One night after an e-ride night, we had to take a bus from the TTC to FW, so I'm not sure there is a direct bus from Mk to FW, or if it was just so late at night that they weren't running anymore.

BC, I have never stayed at FW, but have stayed at WL several times. As of last Feb. the boat from the MK to FW stopped at FW and then on to WL before 3 pm. After 3 pm the boat went from
the WL then FW. The boat ride from MK to FW is probably no more than 15 minutes (MK to WL is 10 min). The boats run every 20 minutes or so. You could also take the monorail from MK to TTC and then a bus to FW. FW and WL are the only resorts served by the TTC.

Someone may know something that I don't, but I don't think FW has bus service to MK. The WL doesn't have buses to the MK. As I said I haven't stayed at FW, but base my info on the WL visits.

There is no bus from MK to FW. You need to take the boat. Boats run about every 15-20 minutes, and it could take 15-20 minutes to get there. Plus, depending on what part of Fort Wilderness you need to get you, you might need to take an internal bus.

An alternative is to take the Monorail to the Transportation Center, and catch the Fort Wilderness bus there. That bus is also an internal bus, so it can take you where you need to go.

how long would you anticipate it taking to get from MK to TTC and then TTC to FW? I need to get to the front entrance area near the horse stables.

I'd allow 30-45 minutes just to be on the safe side.

If you are departing the MK at 1pm, there is no reason you would not be able to make it to FW for your 2pm check-in when taking a boat. That's plenty of time to make it.

even if we have to take an internal bus from the marina at Fort Wilderness to the front entrance? I was assuming the internal buses make stops all along the campground and it could take a while to get from the back to the front. I have taken the boat from MK to Wilderness Lodge before, so I know it is about a 15 min ride, but I was concerned about having to get on a bus after we got to the campground. Thanks to all of you for your help!
