How long before you got your Disney Planning DVD?

I am pretty positive that I ordered the Disney Planning DVD at the beginning of December, but as of yet no DVD has arrived

Has anyone received the 2008 edition yet?

I think I ordered mine on Christmas day. We havn't received ours yet. I hope it is a new one and not the same as last year.

I ordered mine January 1 and have not received mine either. I called last week and the CM said they had just received notification that they would still be another two weeks.

Same here. I've ordering the planning DVD for the last 3 months in a row and still havn't received anything. Last, I was in similar situation wuz because a new version of the planning dvd was in the makeout. So my guess is Disney havn't done editing the new version that's why it's taking so long

Hi all!!
Fairly new to the Dis so what I say may not be true, but it is personal experience.
We tried to order the 2007 video last year and were told they would not ship to Canada.
Friends of ours were told the same thing
Ended up having a friend in the States order it and then send it to us.
Maybe this has changed since then, I dont know, but was pretty PO'd at the time.
Took us 2 months to get it from our friend after ordering.

I am not sure. It talks about the nemo sub ride in DL as though it has not been open yet.

I think that is 2007. If it starts with people talking in the clouds then it is 2007. But who cares, at least you got it before you go on your trip Harlie. Have a great time.

i am still waiting for mine, which i believe ordered before Christmas. The DVD i hear, is basically the same from 2007 with some minor additions.

Hi Folks:

Perhaps I am the only person ... but I hated the Disney DVD. Sure. It was a slick production ... too slick. It was mostly about the people in the video, talking about the MAGIC, oh, the MAGIC ... enough about the MAGIC! We know. We are going. Let's talk about some attractions ... maybe a 10 second peak ... not 1 or 2 seconds like an MTV music video!

I was trying to use the DVD to get my relatives excited about going -- my kids and inlaws have never been. My inlaws were disappointed too. It comes off like a "hard sell".

I would highly recommend MODERN MARVELS: WALT DISNEY WORLD --- it is about 2 hours long and plays on the History Channel from time-to-time. It is also available on DVD. It gives you lots of "behind the scenes" -- and it is way made a few years ago.

I ordered mine before x-mas and about 2 weeks ago got a e-mail from disney saying it was coming soon and they were hoping I would book my trip soon afterwards. Obviously they don't know I will be there in 23 days

We ordered ours about a month ago and nothing yet. I am really hoping it will be different from last year. We are going in three weeks and I was wanting to watch it and get more excited than I already am!!

3guysandagal--you may have been trying to order the DVC video. That one doesn't get shipped to most of Canada--only Ontario. The rest of us can all get the regular planning video.
