How long before room only refund?

I booked a room only reservation and then cancelled it and booked a package. The package ($200) went onto my credit card but the room only $371 is still on my credit card (disney visa). Just want to make sure it definitely got cancelled. How long does it take for a refund? It's been 5 days. Should I call?

It is the credit card company that controls when they post the credit, not Disney. It might take a few more days until the credit hits your credit card account.

Chase is slow with refunds. I’d give it 2 weeks before being concerned.

With credit cards they tell you that it can take up to two billing cycles, but usually much less.

Another data point....I canceled a room only reservation on Nov 1 and got a credit to my (non-Disney) Chase Visa the same day.

Helped offset the DVC rental I made that same day (AKL for cheaper than Pop!)

Credit cards hold refunds in case of fraud based on the amount. Each card has a policy for how long. Chase and every other card however will see the refund although it may not appear on your card when it is issued if you call them. The 2 billing cycles would be refunds in the above 5K range as those amounts are generally held 14 days sometimes longer. small refunds under 200 are in general same day. Once you go over 500 is in general when the longer waits start.

Im also waiting for a $200 refund and everyone always says its the bank or credit card company but when Im getting a refund from Amazon or Walmart for example I get that refund within a day or two but whenever its Disney then oh lord its 2 weeks at least!

Our credit union was three business days. Our AX card was the full 10 days.

I've never had it take more the 1-3 days from Disney (well really Chase bank since those are the cards I used) but just like all industries, most companies are working with less staff so I'd give it at least 7-10 days.

I cancelled a room only reservation last week and got the refund back on my Chase Disney Visa in three days.

I cancelled a package last Saturday and I'm still waiting for the refund to show on my CC.

Edited to add: for anyone checking this post in the future, my refund posted to my CC the following Sunday.
