How long are unused multi day tickets good for?

I think I overbought on this trip (and lower than expected crowds helped get more done!)

I have a three day ticket, I obviously made park reservations but haven’t actually scanned into the park with it yet. I assume that means it’s “unused,” right? How long is this ticket good for?

So technically it never expires. However It does expire at its current rate probably on December 30th 2025. If you go sometime in 2026 or later then you would only have to pay the ticket price difference.

Interesting, I was wondering if it was something like that! That’s good to know, I might be back next October and could make use of it (or the credit amount) then.

It would be a good idea to check the terms and conditions. My understanding has always been that any remaining days on a multi-day ticket expire 13 days after the first use.

I’ve seen some of your reports of your trip, and it sounds like it was fabulous! 😊👍

Sorry, I just realized I may have misread the question and it could be an additional ticket that’s completely unused. In which case, the other poster is absolutely right and you can use it for credit even if it’s technically expired.

So I’ve seen that too and that’s what the terms (that I can find) say, but I’m not sure I’ve “used” it yet. I had to buy a five day and three day ticket, I’m pretty sure I’ve only used the five day, and that disappeared from my app this morning. The three day just says “three days remaining” under the barcode, but I’m almost positive I haven’t used it to scan into the park.

I did have park reservations and I didn’t get around to canceling today’s reservation until this morning, but just having a reservation doesn’t “use” the ticket, right?

Are you still at the parks? Can you go to a ticket booth or Guest Services and ask them?

A similar question was posted in another thread. This Plan Disney response might help. https://plandisney.disney.go.com/question/disneyland-tickets-expire-591387/

If it says that 3 days remain of a 3 day pass then it should be unused and therefore the 13-day rule doesn't apply. Does it not say when the 'expiration date" is on the app? I haven't ever looked so honestly don't know.

Right. If you have any concerns, just try re-scheduling all 3 days to some other dates. If you can do that, then they all still register as unused. If the tickets were bought in 2024 before the price hike, they should be good through January 12 (or thereabouts) 2026. Don’t know if the date shifted after the price hike. The original e-mail confirmation at time of purchase usually lists the expiration date.

You can’t use a multi day ticket a little now and little later. There is an expiration date once you’ve initiated the first day.
You have 13 days after that to use the rest of the days

You can’t use it next year

All true. But I thought the OP has an unused 3-day ticket that he had a reservation booked for today on but never actually used to enter either park. So that’s what I was referring to in my comments.

This is correct. I assume a reservation isn’t enough to count as “using” the ticket…

No, you have to scan into a park to activate the ticket. The reservation will just disappear if you don’t go that day. You should be good to hang on to the unused three-day ticket for another trip.

That said, I recommend printing the ticket out with a bar code and the ticket number. Unused tickets can sometimes poof from the app and it can be very difficult and annoying to get them back.
