How long is the Holiday Fireworks show? I would really like to see it but my DD wants to see WoC too. We only have one day (12/8)...Fireworks are at 9:30, WoC at 9 and 10:15. I know I can see some fireworks from Esplanade or in DCA, but I would really like to see the projections/castle etc.

I know there's no way to do the 9pm WoC since it will barely be over when fireworks start but what about the 10:15? I know we won't get a great view of WoC but I'm hopeful we will be able to find something (I've done walkup twice for WoC with reasonable success).

Is there any way to make this work?

I'm pretty sure fireworks and the later WoC showing is manageable. Just be prepared-a lot of other people will probably have the same idea so the line at the turnstiles could get long.

The crowds leaving the Park (and possibly those entering DCA) are going to be your challenge. I would watch the fireworks from the entrance of Main Street by the train station so that as soon as the fireworks are over (the INSTANT), you can turn and make a beeline for DCA.

Will you make it? Totally depends on the crowds, but positioning for a quick exit out of DL gives you the edge.

The only challenge she might have with this is the CP setup. Doesn't it take over the platform by the Main St. station? I've never seen it in person - just pictures - so I may be mistaken.

Thanks all!

My thought had been exactly what Dreams recommended- watch from train station end of MS then get out as fast as possible. But I too have been wondering how the CP might affect my plan... I've never seen the setup either so I don't have a good feel for where/how it is.

Any insight on that appreciated!
