How long are Illuminations cruises?

If you take an Illuminations cruise, approximately what time could you expect to return to the marina afterward?

It really takes an hour to return to the marina after the show ?!? Why so long? Can someone who has taken the cruise fill me on on this?

I think what Melissa84 meant was the cruise itself was 1 hour. After Illuminations ends, the 4 pontoon boats will return one by one to the marina. It takes a few minutes to get each boat going, turn around and head back.

Might be cutting it a little close - Illuminations is 12 min. (9:12), then it takes a few minutes to get the boats un-rafted from each other, turned around & back to the dock (9:20ish). You might run a couple of minutes late. BUT, ask your captain if he'll drop you at the Swan/Dolphin dock instead - it'll save a couple of minutes. I know I've been dropped at the Boardwalk before!!!

You'll be fine. You can ask your boat capt. to drop you at the Boardwalk instead of the Y&BC marina after Illuminations - that way you have less of a walk!!!

Will do! Changed our Blue Zoo reservations to 9:45 just to be safe (I don't want to feel stressed if we're a bit late getting back).
