For example, Mary Poppins has a meet & greet time of 2pm in UK pavilion in Epcot. What time would you expect that session to finish? It's her last session of the day, and I want to make sure we get to it. TIA!

Be aware they will cut the line off before the end of the session if the line is long. On our last trip, Gaston's long line was closed about ten minutes after he came out. Never did make it back to meet him.

Tiana and Peter Pan's lines were so popular during one trip we walked up even before they arrived to see the line cut off; twice for Peter in one day! If this happens, quietly ask the handler if there's a chance they'll be "passing by" again later in the day (if they don't have times posted). They may or may not be able to help you out.

Kenny the pirate has a ton of character info on his web site, including locations and general wait times for that character. I haven't used his app, but have heard that the Character Locator App is very helpful for giving you maps to where the character meets and tips on when to meet them, maybe even real-time waits?

I've seen Mary Poppins' line close before her meet has even started. We actually got denied and had to come back to get in line for a later set. I would arrive no later than the start time. Your shortest waits for characters will be if you show up 5-10 minutes before their sets start.

How do you find out when a character is scheduled like this? Is it on a map? I haven't been to WDW before and just assumed the characters were always there. How long between them going away and coming back again usually? Thanks

Always plan to arrive for the M&G a few minutes before the set starts. Like others have said, the character attendant will cut the line off fairly quickly.

Characterlocator.com. That's Kenny the Pirate's site, it requires a subscription -- but he has the best info for characters.

I've never gotten in a character line BEFORE the character shows up....and so far we've never been turned away from a line. Then again, if I see a character I might be interested in meeting and they have a line longer than 15 people/families, we keep walking LOL.

As others have said, Mary Poppins is very popular and I have seen her line get cut before she even arrives. I would arrive at her spot in the UK pavilion no later than 1:45pm. If it's really important to you, it's better to arrive early than be turned away.

They have times guides by the maps when you enter the park (and at every gift shop).

There are times guides at every park and the information for sets is on MDE as well.

Sometimes there are surprise sets and these will not be posted any where. I can't imagine Kenny the pirate even gets them as they are 100% random and usually based on an unknown training schedule.

For training sets he simply posts that they are possible along with a few of the regular spots they may appear in.

With the recent updates to the MDE app, one of the biggest advantages to character locator is that you never have to worry about the characters sleeping, and the set times can be more accurate than MDE. I know when Naveen left, he was still listed as appearing at the glen for about a week in MDE, where Kenny took him off right away

if you really want to see someone go early I have been in line for PP for his 12 ( he was on stage for 45 minutes back stage for 15) they cut off the line before he even got on stage they had another line off to the side for his 1 pm set about 12:30 they had that line cut off. and they were telling guest that wanted to wait to wait in another area.
so 1 if you really want to see someone do not go to there last set.

you cans any charter attendant when someone will be out they should know or know who to ask ( I think they all have radio on) some times someone should be out but things could happen like snow while had to take care of a sick drowf and was not able to come out for about 3 sets.

The last session of the day is often crowded with people who have not gotten to the character yet and realize that this is their last chance. It would not be unheard of for it to be cut off at her starting time or shortly thereafter, although her line isn't typically horrible. If Mary Poppins is important, then I would show up 10 minutes, or at least 5 minutes before her time is to start.

Thanks everyone! Looks like we'll miss it then. We have an ADR at 1pm, and I'm not willing to rush out to get there before 2pm. We may walk by to checkout the line, but won't worry if we can't meet her.

Mary also meets in Magic Kingdom, so if you are unable to visit her in the UK pavilion, keep an eye out for her in the hub
