Hello we are going to WDW 3/30-4/7. We have some late ADR'S on several nights and plan on doing MK late one night (they have extended hours until 11pm ) we are staying at POR.
How late do buses etc run from resort to resort and from site to site. Can we catch a bus at 1130 from mk to our room the night mk is open late? If we opt to check out Pleasure Island, and stay until closing how do we get back to our room?
thanks:confused3

First and most important, there is no resort to resort transportation(with a few exceptions, POR is not one of them). To get from one resort to another you must transfer at any open park or DTD.
Transportation from the parks will run until approximatly 1 hour after the park closes(including EMH). DTD buses will run from Pleasure Island until after the bars close at 2am to get everyone home.
Disney doesn't want anyone stuck at a park so there will be a bus to get you home.

Thanks
So just to clarify if we have a 9pm reservation at Narcoosee's we'd have to take transport to DD or to Pleasure Island and then back to POR ?

Yes, you can do it that way, but it might be a long trip.

If you are at Narcoosee's the easiest thing to do would be to catch a cab back to POR or of course drive if you have a car.

Or if you were planning to go to Pleasure Island, that evening would be a good time to go. A bus will take you there from GF and after your visit to Pleasure Island you can take a bus back to POR.

are cabs expensive between resorts and how would i get one? just have someone at the desk call one for me?

The valet at GF can get you a cab. Since during most days of your stay MK is open till 11pm, if your meal is one of those days you could simply ride the monorail or since you will be out that way anyhow the boat to MK and catch your POR bus from there, the buses will run till at least midnight. Now there are a few nights of your trip that the current calendar shows MK closing at 7pm, if that is because of a Pirate and Princess Party, then transportation to and from MK will run until after the party, usually midnight.
**Park times are always subject to change, especially this far out

Hop on the monorail to the TTC and get the bus to POR from there.

Buses run two hours beyond park closing. :) Disney doesn't want anyone stranded anywhere. ;)

Narcoossee's sits right at the boat launch. Step outside Narcoossee's and take the boat back across to MK then hop your bus to POR. You can literally see MK and the bus stops from the boat dock. If you venture inside GF take the monorail back to MK and head down to your bus stop. Our ADR was for 8 or 8:30 and we stayed through Wishes during dinner.

We took the boat from MK to GF. On the return we hopped off at the Poly to take a look around. We took the monorail back to MK and hopped our bus to CBR.

TIP: Disney has cards for each of its modes of transportation. Our captain on from MK gave us our first card and we continued to collect these for each mode we took(Boats, monorail, buses, etc). What a neat FREE hobby and souvenier for my nephew. We learned that there are 8 different kinds of buses at WDW!

The problem with that is there are no bus to the hotels from the TTC, only from parks. MK and TTC are often confused. The ticket and transportation center AKA TTC is where people park for the MK, then they ride the monorail or a ferry boat to get to the MK. The TTC is also where you transfer to or from the Epcot monorail or where you can catch a bus to MGM and AK, during the operating hours for each park.

Sorry, I didn't realize the 7pm MK days had P&P parties. You won't need a cab, just head over to MK and catch a bus to POR.

Sometimes cabs can be a lifesaver, but in this case you won't need one.
