How late can you add the Dining Plan to your Ticket?

I purchased my disney vacation online which is a 4 day cruise/3 day disney. I called to see if the trip included disney tickets for 7 days and it does. However, they said I couldn't add any option like water parks or anything until I arrive at the hotel. My concern is that I won't be able to add the dining package to my trip at that point. We are returning to Disney after our Cruise so the first part of the trip is at one resort and the other will be at another resort. Can I get the 7 day dining option added to the full 7 days on my ticket? Does anyone have any advice or can you offer me some help with this problem?

Thank you,

The Disney Dining Plan is tied to the number of nights of your reservation, not to the number of days on your ticket.

As far as I know, you cannot add it to a Land & Sea package.

Since you're staying onsite both before and after your cruise (I think?), IF one of those reservations is already its own package, you can add the DDP up to about five days before arrival. If that part of your stay is a room-only reservation, you can't. Period.

You can convert a room only reservation to a package, including ticket and dining, a few days before your arrival (I think 3 or 4 days).

You might not be able to retain a room discount if you wait.

Call Disney and ask your questions. The DDP cannot be added less than 3 days prior to check-in (72 hours). And I am not sure how that works with a cruise inbetween nights at a WDW resort, or if it is even an option. :confused3

I do remember reading messages indicating that the Dining Plan is not available with Land/Sea packages.

You are right in saying the DDP is not available for the sea/land packages. However, you could do your research and see if you could separate the package and make it a land only portion and a sea only portion then add the dining to the land portion. You can convert a room only reservation to a package. But I would do it soon cause I believe the room rate may change...dont know about that. I would call disney and find out how you can get this to work. It may be easy to split the land/sea package to make it work. Good Luck!
