How late can we return to our car at HS?

Hello all! I am a (very) long time lurker, first time poster.

I have been to WDW over a dozen times, however, I have typically stayed onsite and used the buses or boats to get to the parks. My DH and I will be going for a day-trip to HS and EP next month, and are planning to drive and park at HS in the morning.

Our plan was to spend the first half of the day at HS, then take the boat/walk to Epcot for the second half of the day (we have a late lunch ADR at Marrakesh, so would like to enter through the IG).

My question is, if we leave the car in the HS parking lot, will we still be able to get back to it between 10-11 pm by walking or boat when HS closes at 8pm?

You'll be able to walk back. The boats may or may not be still running.

The parking lot does not close (no barriers) so you can walk back from Epcot and get your car

Alternatively, you could park at Epcot in the morning and then take the bus to DHS. It would take a bit more time in the morning, but save time (and a mile of walking) that night.
