How late can I schedule ADR based on park closing for party?

So, MK will close at 7pm for the Xmas party. How late could I book a dinner, if I'm not planning on staying for the party? Could it be as late as 7, so long as I exit promptly after? Or do I need to be out of the restaurant before 7? And if so, how would they police that?

You can book ADR up until 7:00. When you are finished, a CM will personally escort you to the exit.

In previous years, many people here have reported that they were not allowed to make an ADR after 630 or 645 without having party tickets.

If you finish eating after the party has begun, you will be escorted from the park. You will not be able to use the bathrooms (except at the restaurant before you leave the building) and you cannot do any shopping. So make sure you have those last minute purchases completed before your ADR.

Without party tickets the reservation needs to be before 7:00 because once 7:00 rolls around you no longer have valid admission to the MK. Allow enough time to check in before 7:00 - Disney recommends that you arrive about 15 minutes early.
