How late are ticket booths open?

We are most likely going to upgrade our 5 day hoppers to a Key next month. Not wanting to risk our park reservations (and like most advice says), we’re going to wait till the last day to upgrade.

I recently read something that said even same day, already scanned in reservations are forfeited with the upgrade. (Like if we left the park, we couldn’t get back in) I don’t know if that’s true or not, but I don’t want to chance it, so we’d have to go to a booth at the last minute of our last day, which will probably be pretty late.

I want to be able to get the upgrade done, but don’t really want to sacrifice the last of our park time to do it. Are the ticket booths open only until closing, or do they stay open for any amount of time afterwards?

They are typically open until just before park close.

Ahhh… ok… so we will probably have to cut the night a little short… although if we have any kind of booking priority because of hotel reservations, (using that priority, instead of just relying on the key priviledge) I may be able to get another day or 2 the couple days after… fingers crossed…
