how large are the groups?

Approximately how many people/families made up the group? Was it a nice small group or one of these huge groups that other tourists see and run screaming from?

The maximum number of any group on these adventures is 40

There were 20 on our trip in Hawaii this summer. We were told this was a small group (it was great). Is probably the reason no Hawaii this year though

20 sounds great...40 sounds a little herd-like...

but if Disney can do this half as well as the parks and the cruise I am sorely tempted to try it!

I believe ours was 38 as one couple didn't show up.. Never felt herded like sheep, easy to be alone or with group or just another couple.

I think our Backstage Magic was either 36 or 38. It sounds like a lot but really didn't feel that way, and we split into smaller groups for certain activities.
