How "just one trip" became three (babies)... update 6/29, huge triplets photo update

Holy cow!!! What wonderful and exciting news! Congratulations to you and Lease. What a blessing to receive!

Code, I have thought often of you and Lease since your announcement and wondered how you both were. This is such a wonderful, life altering time in your lives and so much prep work has to happen. I just wish you both the best of luck and hope that there is lots of enjoyment over the next few months.

Do you have a tentative due date? How is Lease doing? Have they put her on bed rest due to having multiples or is she good for now?

I love your photos and hearing about your trips, but I think any updates on Lease and the babies that you care to share with us will be great. I am just super happy for you guys.

Have you started working on names yet? God bless all five of you!

Suz

Oh my goodness!!! Best of luck to you both! :wizard:

Ohhhhh... my! Congratulations!

Nice observation!

Been gone for a while and decided to catch up and boy have I missed out on a lot! Congratulations to both of you, I can see how it would be overwhelming, but i'm sure you'll be fine!

Thank you everyone! :grouphug:

The shock is starting to fade and the planning and figuring out logistics has begun. I'm still working and have cut back to just 40 hours a week from here on out. I'm switching roles at work to one where I'll be running around a lot less and no more lifting of boxes. I'll stay working until it's no longer safe for me or the babies, anything we can do to avoid early labor we'll do.

My work has responded to the news of the pregnancy and the triplets with a lot of shock and awe. They didn't know I was pregnant and I just started noticeably "popping" out in the last week. Code has a picture that I'm sure will be posted soonish. I work in a building with 1200 other people, it's the first set of triplets from any employee in the 8 years the site has been open. Suddenly I'm going to have way more attention than I am probably prepared for.

Overall my health is good, I'm still dealing with some morning sickness (well all day sickness really), but it seems to be letting up. Given what my caloric intake is supposed to increase by that is a good thing.

Okay so maybe there is still some shock going on, it's a lot to wrap the mind around. Starting to get excited though, it'll certainly be an adventure and we'll never be bored again. Tomorrow we are going back to Babies r us to start registering, that should be fun.

From what the ultrasound tech and the doctor said I'll be having ultrasounds every 2 weeks for a while and then probably weekly. We'll keep you updated.

I am however totally veto-ing Huey, Duey, and Louie from the possible names list. Names will have to wait until we know genders.

One last thing, we always said we wouldn't take a small child to WDW, we'd wait till 48" tall and old enough to remember. Code was quick to point out since we won't have to go through two pregnancies and waiting for the second child to grow...it's less of a wait to go back (please ignore that this will require a second mortgage to finance).

My DD's are a year apart and it was like having twins. I highly recommend the getting it out of the way at one time version.... Good luck and good health!

OH MY GOSH! You two are Trully Blessed! I will be praying for you throughout the pregnancy!

I can't wait to tell my Mother in the morning! She is going to FLIP OUT!

OH how I wish we lived closer to each other so I could see you two . . . you know what? You might just have to do a bus tour around the country to visit DISers so we can throw you multiple baby showers! Don't worry, we wouldnt buy you ALL green things! :thumbsup2

Hang in there, and thanks so much for sharing the news! If you can, please let us see future ultrasound pics!

-GMax!

You'll have to go back right before the kids turn 3. That way they'll get in for free ;)

You guys sure know how to perk up a trip report :rotfl: And this is such cool news, now all we need to do is work out the rotation of the DISsers to come out and help out with the newest DISsers :rotfl2: . And of the many blessings that have been mentioned, one has been left out: 3 TAX DEDUCTIONS!!!

We're elated for you guys, and we'll be praying for the 5 of you.

To do a tour we best win the lottery first, well we probably should win the lottery anyway as it would make a lot of things much easier.

Amazing news!! Congratulations!

I was going to ask for some of that special pixie dust but I'm not so sure I am up for 3 times the fun!! LOL

Again, Congrats!

I just found your trip report. Then I read your exciting news. WOW!
That is sooo cool. Thanks so much for sharing all of your news.
I look forward to many cool pictures.
We are going to Disney in 11 days. When I come back I always have the most awful Disney depression. My daughter is currently working at Disney for the year before she starts law school in the fall so the depression will be even worse leaving her behind. I really look forward to reading about your exciting triplets!

your night time pics are amazing! what tripod have you been using for those? i want to get one for my dslr for our jan trip, but i've been so hesitant!

Glenda, you have the right idea! That was a thought of mine as I read the good news, "How great to send them something, but how to do it?". I am sure lots of DISers would be lining up.

Lease, I am glad to hear your health is doing well. I hope that continues through out the whole pregnancy. What a wonderful blessing for both of you! Do you have an approximate due date or a rough idea should you go to term?

Your last comments, spoken like a true DISer!! Hey one good thing to think about. If you do decide to take the tykes while they are young, under three is free!! Now, the only question is if you can rent a triple stroller!!?

Enjoy this wonderful time and get lots of rest. Congratulations to you both. We are all so thrilled!

My original due date was May 25th. I'm hoping to make it to mid-April.
