How is your pollen season going?

Yesterday I parked my car for an hour while running errands. When I got back in it and started driving, pollen started rolling up the windshield. I ended up running the windshield wipers once to brush it off.

Today's count has not been posted. It has not rained so I doubt it will be much improved.

The all time high for Atlanta is 9368 on March 20, 2012 so still well below records.

The first week of April is usually the worst so there is a chance the record could fall.

Like you, here in Athens (go Dawgs) it's ramping up. After the rain a few days ago we had yellow rivers in the streets. My lawn chairs on my front porch are completely covered already.

I'm up in Maryland and the 'yellow dust' has just started showing up.
So far my allergies are behaving, but I'm also wanting to get the windows open and air out the house this weekend so I'm sure I'll be shooting myself in the foot there!

This is our first "spring" living in Central Florida, and we've been miserable. Apparently, the grass pollen is high.

Hasn't started in New England yet. We're only just barely starting to get some life showing on the trees.
We've already had elevated levels in Michigan. My allergies kicked up when the redbuds showed up on the trees and were almost immediately torn off by repeated high winds.

Allergy wise, for my wife with pollen allergies, so far so good. But our car that is parked outside is covered in yellow.

I live in the PNW and I'm on Xyzal pretty much all year around at the moment. It's been raining this week here and there plus a rain storm last night, it's not too horrible. But I don't even go by the forecast or pollen count that's posted, my sinuses will for sure let me know if it's bad! 😂

Anyone does allergy shots here? Does it work for you? I did it for 3 years and nothing changed. Last year, my allergist advised me to stop the shots (at least for now), no need to waste more money and time.

I always forget how bad the pollen gets whenever I camp during the spring in the south. I have a green film over everything that is outside at my campsite. It's supposed to rain this weekend so maybe that will help?

Haven't really noticed it much - maybe because it's been too cold here? I mean, we had snow falling yesterday (it kinda looked like pollen ;) )

Yes. Works tremendously for me. Been on shots for 10+ years. I went off them after 5 or so years as I reached being fully boosted. That next year was the worst. Been on them ever since.

Between rain and the high winds, the pollen hasn't had a chance yet to settle yet. :scared: I'm sure it will soon, though.

I haven't in decades, but I used to. My first allergist did the formal preliminary testing to identify all of my triggers and then came up with whatever serum and plan to help convince my body to stop reacting. It definitely helped me for some things because I used to be wildly allergic to all kinds of oak pollen. Now, I barely react. Cats were another thing covered in that serum that no longer make me itchy and sneezy. He did warn me that some things can look "cured" on future wheal style testing but still trigger reactions (mold, mildew, dust mites are some of the biggies with that).

This!

Pollen has arrived here in the south and is dumping bucketloads. I’m really hoping that this weekends rain will wash it away. My nose/throat/head is not happy right now.

I received a message from my sons lax coach that the school already wiped down the bleaches for todays game, but to still bring something to sit on. 😆 No one wants a yellow backside.
