My youngest daughter is 2 1/2 with Down Syndrome and has very low tone, she just started to sit almost independently and we have been doing Disney the last 2 years and she has been able to experience a lot of it because of Disney letting her ride on our laps or because of the all the shows, is universal as easy for her to experience or will me and her be waiting for the rest of the family most of the day. I am getting ready to book our spring vacation and we contemplated US instead of Disney but I want her to enjoy herself! Any info is appreciated. TIA:)

I think there will be a number of things she can enjoy...especially in Suess Landing. However, I would book a night or 2 at the end of a Disney trip to see for yourselves how well suited the parks are for your needs.

I'm not much help but I know that on Jaws she can not ride in your lap. If you put her in your lap after the "tour" has started they will make you move her from your lap. We saw this twice on our trip. Once was even with an infant in the row in front of us...though I would have kept her off to begin with....she was only about 4 months old. Most rides she can not go on offer child swap. You will have to go through the exit while your party goes through the line (regular or express depending on where you are staying or if u bought express) your other party will notify the ride attendant that you are doing a child swap and when they get off you can get on with a member of your party...u do not have to ride alone. Hope this helps some...

the child swap rooms are excellent at universal.

and, all that went on the ride before the swap, gets to do the same ride again.
no restrictions on that.

the play area, at the studios side, it is near ET, would be a very nice place to take your child to.
your other children will enjoy it also.

there are some attractions where she can be a lap child.
and there are some areas where she can sit next to you without any problems. seussland rides would be 3 of them.
cat in the hat, the trolley ride in the sky, the carolseuss booth seats are a few i can think of for ioa.

for the stationary seats at jimmy neutron , shrek would work.
i doubt you would want to see T2 due to the noise.
animal actor show would be fun for her.

check out the interactive map at universal website for things you know would work for your family.
