we absolutely love trail's end at dinner but probably won't be able to make it over there on our upcoming 3 night trip. we should be able to make it for lunch on our departure day, but wasn't really sure what the difference between lunch and dinner was.
from deb's site it looks like there's just no shrimp or carving board at lunch, and you hafta pay for a soda. has anyone been recently that can tell me what they had for lunch?
thanks!

We agree with you and love trails Inn for dinner. Its not too well know, now even on these boards so I am hesitant to say that publically. It use to be known only to the real Disney experts but it seems the word it getting around.

Lunch is not as good as dinner. But its still good and still the best value for good food for any disney buffett. If you family likes family style midwestern or southern style food they will like it. My kids still think this is just a great great place for the chicken.

We went to Trails End recently and this is what they had:

fried chicken
pizza - pepperoni and cheese
barbequed beef tips + buns for them
rice pilaf
mac & cheese
cheesy potatoes
cooked carrots
shrimp bisque
fried haddock strips
turkey on wheat tortilla wraps
chili
cornbread
watermelon
honeydew melon
cantaloupe
pineapple
macaroni salad
potato salad
coleslaw
iceberg lettuce
salad fixings

Even though lunch isn't as extensive as dinner, for $9.99 adult that's still a good deal for an all-you-can eat meal! I'll take that anyday over counter service day in and day out.

Except do not go too close to closing for lunch. we did this august. it was great because it was nearly empty and cool! But the food was also cool as well. At least the food that should have been kept hot. the salad bar was a mess and emptied out. I could definetely see the potental for a great deal and good food at this restaurant but as this was our 1st time I was dissapointed.

We've never done Trails End for lunch or dinner, but I'd highly recommend breakfast! We always eat there on our MK day, and eat a huge breakfast, then skip lunch (or eat a "snacky" lunch) and then a big dinner. The breakfast is great...awesome doughnuts too :p It is a great value at 9.99 for adults and 5.99 for kids!

My boys would be truly upset if we didn't start out our MK day with breakfast at Trails End!!
