We've never eaten here before... thinking of trying it for lunch while in MK... any reviews?

We LOVE Tony's! I know there have been some bad reviews lately -- but, I can honestly say that in the 10 years that we've been eating there, we've never had a bad meal! It's a MUST DO for us on every trip.

I didn't even know there weer ANY reviews... I've haven't googled anything yet.. just figure I'd ask on here first. I'm glad you like it... we are thinking about doing an early lunch there while we are in MK :)

Tony's usually gets negative reviews, so we always avoided it. However, we just tried it for the 1st time about 3 1/2 weeks ago for dinner and it was very good. We all got the chicken parm and really enjoyed it & our server was excellent - we will definitely go back in the future.

I forgot to mention that you get A LOT of food! The portion sizes are really big!

we were there 2 weeks ago and we loved it...we had been there in 2008 and when we planned this past trip, we said we had to go again...we only made a few adr's and this was one of them
even tho i screwed up the day, we still got in, and it was delicious...i got the chicken parm and dh got the spaghetti and meatballs
we'll probably always make sure we eat there whenever we go
our waitress was fantastic, and so was the hostess...i screwed up the date, but she got us in sooner than the 1hr wait there was...and we had a stuffed lady and tramp on our table...we asked the waitress if that was ours to keep and she said yes, and to thank the ladies at the front...we were there to celebrate our anniv...not sure if this is something they do often, but i thought it was really thoughtful

oh and the portions are quite large..i couldn't finish all my food (but dh was able to help)

I thought it was good. Authentic Italian, no, but better than I expected from the reviews.

Was there in the beginning of September. Food was good, not spectacular (think about a 6 or 7 out of 10)...same for the service. Certainly not worthy of all the scorn it seems to receive here on the DIS.

The last time we ate there was about a year ago and it was pretty good. Not great, but good. Back when they served breakfast on a regular basis it was one of our favorite places for table service, menu based breakfast. That was quite a few years ago, though.

Wouldn't go back. I don't expect authentic Italian but Tony's was Ragu out of the jar.
My sons are teens which in secret kid language, means they pretty much will eat just about any thing and they pretty much took two bites and left it.
They said it simply wasn't good.

We did have great servers.

Hit or miss.....we have eaten there twice. In fact we avoided it for a long time because of the bad reviews. The first time is was wonderful!! My tiramisu was soooo yummy. The kids were dying to go back.

This past year (June 10), it was horrible. It took us more than a hour to be seated even with an adr. It was also the slowest service ever. The kids spaghetti was a was of plain noodles with a small scoop of sauce. It was the worst service and food of the trip.

If you want somewhere close to the MK, maybe you want to consider Kona.

We liked this restaurant! :goodvibes We ate here for lunch this past August and thought that it was way underated. We didn't have any ressie and walked in at 12:05 and were seated right away. We loved the food here (especially tiramasu) and it had a relaxing atmosphere. It was also fun to see the parade go by the windows. We would eat here again if we were given the opputunity. :)

We ate at Tony's last fall and we are planning to eat there again in about a month. I especially liked the pistachio creme brulee.

I had lunch there about three weeks ago and thought it was just all right.

Best food in the park albeit mediocre. We like it but will ride the resort monorail to Wave or Kona instead usually.

We thought it was average, not the best, certainly not the worst. It was busy so the service was slow. We read mixed reviews but we wanted to check it out and again it was average (but not horrible by any means).
