How is the weather in mid-February?

There is a slight possibility we might be able to get to DLR in Feb . But the little bits and pieces of info I have found suggest that it will be cold and rainy when we go. Cold I can deal with, but I'm not sure about rainy. It will be me and the kids. They are OK with rain, and would happily wear ponchos or whatever, but will we be soaked? Is it like FL where it rains for an hour and that's it or does it pour all day? The price is so totally right (for us) and this might be our only chance to get there this year, so I want to go for it but I am hesitant because of the rain/cold factor.

So, what's the real deal on the DL weather in Feb?

(And yes, I know YMMV and no one here knows *for sure* what the weather will be, but I also know there are many people here who go to DL frequently and/or live in the area and have a good idea about this.)

Feb is generally the wettest month - although the last couple of years have been really dry. Even at "wettest" here that means an avg of less than 3" in a month! We've been on restricted watering/water use for a couple of years - although I've heard it may break this year.

Now, as for DL - it's great fun in a light rain - it keeps the crowds away generally. Just bring those ponchos. It's not at ALL like FL - there it's miserably hot and humid, rains hard for a short time, and then just as suddenly stops - here it'll be cool all day and drizzle on and off and occasionally rain a bit harder. Even in a harder rain there are lots of indoor attractions.

And cold here isn't very cold - rarely gets below 45 even at the coldest time in the night - and avg hi/low for Feb is between 48 and 69.
