We're thinking about doing the QSDP and this would be a great option for dinner because the menu is diverse and has some nice "dinner" options. How is the food here?

I stayed at CSR Dec of 2007 and loved the selection at the pepper market. One of the best CS options in WDW. The food is often made to order and is very fresh. I upgraded my next trip to CSR from POP to take advantage of the pepper market while I'm on the QSDP in May. Many people complain it is confusing because when you enter they give you a card that is stamped at each station, dessset, entree, drink and when you check out they charge you according to the card. There is a gratuity for the waitstaff at CSR
(included in the QSDP) but you can bypass it if you are not on the plan by getting it to go. :goodvibes

The Pepper Market is one of those hate it/love it places. We happen to love it (especially after having eaten at a number of other resort food courts). The variety is terrific; the portions are huge. I've gotten a ceasar salad and have been lucky to eat half of it (I take the rest to the refrigerator in the room). The sub type sandwiches are huge...DH and I actually shared one last year; the steak was a nice size with all of the sides. I also love their fettucine.

We stayed at CSR last August and ate at the Pepper Market alot.We loved it.Loved the selection, loved the amount of food you get for your money. The only thing we didnt care for was the gratuity they put on your bill if you eat inside at the tables. We got our food to go and save the extra gratuity and then went right out the doors and there are a bunch of tables.Or we took it back to our room.

It can be a bit confusing because they give you a card to get stamped, so you need to know exactly what you are entitled to on the meal plan. I had the Fajitas there which were pretty good and I think one other time I had roasted chicken, which was also good. They also have churros, which are great for dessert. It is definitely a good value for a CS. The gratuity is not a big deal because the staff does get you drinks and clean up your tables. Just leave a $2-4 tip depending on the number of people and you should be covered.

You are actually charged an extra 10% fee for sitting down in the restaurant. If, after DIY ordering, carrying your own food you don't sit down, but pay and exit you save 10%. It's kind of strange that way. Often people who do choose to sit leave extra money at the table, on top of the automatic sit down charge of 10% on their bill.
I think dining plan folks get out of the 10%, that's kind of nice for them.

I can't wait to eat here when I am on the QSDP this June

We did dinner there in Oct before checking into the AKL and we both enjoyed it alot..the breakfast there is very good too

We were just there 2 weeks ago and were pretty disappointed. The first meal tasted good but ended up giving DH stomach problems the next few days. The second meal was awful. DH got some kind of steak and they only cooked it on the grill less than 5 minutes! They served it to him cold. The place was unorganized and dirty. I noticed the cheese in the deli case was very old (starting to get hard and curl up on the edges). Will not return to this one.
