Our first full day at WDW will be Sunday May 2nd. We are thinking about doing EE at MK that day. This will be our first Sudnay trip to a park.

What kind of crowds can we expect for a Sundayat the MK?

Sunday crowds at MK are generally large, particularly in the morning, as people who are leaving that evening get their last Disney "fix." It's also a popular "locals" day. Personally ... you couldn't pay me enough to go to MK on a Sunday, but that's just me!

You could do EE, head to one "land" (Fantasyland, Tomorrowland, etc.) do as many rides as you can before the crowds really pick up - then head out to another park.

If, by chance you end up at Splash Mountain/Big Thunder last, hop on the train and ride to Main Street so you don't have to fight the crowds to the exit.

We usually go to the Magic Kingdom on Sundays because we think the crowds are so light. Sundays are when most people travel--those who have been on vacation the previous week are out of park hopper tickets and those arriving that day for the week don't want to waste a day on the hopper for just a few hours. Hope this helps!

We went to EE on a Sunday back in October. I didn't think it was too bad. We have 2 young sons so did FantasyLand first and got those rides out of the way before the park opened to everybody. It seemd a little crowded but we didn't wait more than 10 minutes for a ride. I don't know how May compares to October though.

If you have small children the EE is great to get in some rides for them with much less wait than later in the day. We arrived the sunday after thanksgiving last year exactly at 8am rode Dumbo, Pooh, Peter Pan, Carousel and just before 9am went in to see Philharmagic. We always go on a sunday to the MK. Only once in the last 7 years have we found the crowds too much and hopped on over to another park.

We've always found Sunday mornings one of the best times to go to MK. By noon when it starts getting busy, we head back to our resort for a break and then we go to another park.

We are arriving Sunday AM. Can we go directly to MK before checking in to AKL? I think we will have all our documents.

We have gone to MK on Sundays several times and found it to be less crowded especialy earlyin the day. The worst MK days to me are Saturday and Monday.
