Can you see anything? Is it lit up? We are here now and can only get FP+ for this ride after dark. Is it still fun?

It's very discretely lit. I've always enjoyed the Jungle Cruise after dark.

I can't remember the last time I rode it during the day. I almost always ride at night. It is fun at night. The scenes are lit and the jokes are just as corny. I would rather go at night myself.

I really like it. Yes you can see things.

But if you have younger kids with you, it can make the ride extra-spooky, and that can be difficult depending on the kids.

Ooh we always want to try after dark but we don't end up doing it. I think we'll try for it this time.

Best after dark. Sometimes the guides/skippers can be a tiny bit more adult with their jokes . . . but nothing risque. I much prefer it at night. It's more interesting. A bit spooky. Altogether better.

Really the only light comes from the boat. There's not too much light lighting up the scenes. It's definitely a lot easier to see everything during the day, but it's not bad at night.

It's so much better after dark - like a completely different ride. I don't have any desire to ride it during the day anymore.

Agree with the PP's that this is an attraction that should be seen in both daytime and nighttime. It almost becomes a different attraction at night because of the light levels and show illumination.

I've seen stuff at night that I've never noticed during the day. I do think it's a totally different ride. Very neat at night.

Former Jungle Cruise Skipper here, I realize this post isn't quite timely but I just wanted to weigh in. As previous posters have said the majority of the lighting comes from spotlights on the boat itself. During the day, Jungle is a tropical adventure. At night, it's a bit more intimate. After the sun goes down, the line does as well, and if you go in the last hour the park is open or so, your family might be the only party on the boat. So, if you don't plan on having a Skipper talk to your family directly for 10 minutes (if you avoid participation etc) it can be awkward. But, if you're the only family, or one of the only families, it can be super magical! Your child might even get a special opportunity. But don't plan on photographing anything.

Like most things, it's better in the dark.
