How is the food/wait time at Three Broomsticks for lunch??

We ate dinner there on a Wednesday night during opening week. We got in line at 8pm and got our food around 9pm, now they were understaffed and the line started when you got inside 3B. DH had the chicken/rib combo and I ended up with the rib platter (ordered chick rib but oh well). The ribs were excellent, the chicken was a tad dry but not that bad. The sides were also very yummy and of course we had to have the Hogs Brew. I also got desert which was a chocolate parfait type with berries and it was the best thing I ever tasted.

Once we got our food they helped find us a table, first showed up one near HogsHead Pub but since we already had drinks in there we asked for one in the main area and got it. The atmosphere and TMs were great and we really enjoyed the food and drinks.

Overall it was worth the price, and when we go back in February this will be on our list of places to eat dinner one night again.

We ate dinner there Tues July 13th.

About 5:30 we got there...no line.

Went and ordered Family Feast and drinks. Picked up drinks and salad and were seated right away.

Not seated more than 3 minutes and our food arrived.

VERY good and VERY filling!!

(i have pix..but they are on my almost-dead laptop and I have NO idea where they are on my DH's desktop that I'm sharing till I get a new one this week...sorry)

Does anyone have a menu? or know the prices?

The lines were crazy. We waited 30-45 minutes all three times we went. We had breakfast, dinner, and desserts there. We weren't impressed with the extremely dry chicken or wilted corn on the cob, but we loved the strawberry peanut butter ice cream. Breakfast was blah as well. However, we were there opening week and everyone still seemed to be learning their jobs. I would expect the food and service to improve over time since most of the other Universal restaurants do an excellent job with both food and service.

I don't know how the food is but when my niece wanted a butterbeer and there was a huge line at the outside beverage cart we strolled in, got her drink and walked out in less than 3 minutes. We got fast service and a blast of cool air to give us a break from the heat.

We had the family feast and i think it was $49.99 (including a salad for all).

There were 4 each of: ribs, corn on the cob and chicken. Potatoes and veggies.

We thought they were all good....especially the chicken. And the ribs were so tender, they about fell off the bone!

Didn't have any dessert tho....

We went last night. It seems that we timed it just right. We got there at 5:40, walked right in and sat at a table. DH and DS went up to order and were back before I got the baby buckled in the high chair. We just ordered butter beer (for them) and ice cream (for me). We had sandwiches in our back pack ate our sandwiches there. Also, right after that, the line for FJ was 40 minutes, and the line for Ollivander's was 30. I'm thinking that going to WWHOP around 5:30-6 is a good idea. When we were leaving WWHOP(around 8 pm) you could barely walk through there.

Forgive me if this has been addressed somewhere already but is Butterbeer an option for breakfast at all? I could've sworn I read somewhere that it was but someone posted a picture of the breakfast menu and it had pumpkin juice and other drinks but no Butterbeer.

Is it offered with a meal at lunch and dinner only?

You can get Butterbeer anytime...esp in 3 Broomstix. There is Pumpkin Juice (ick), water and iced teas and the bar. Just no sodas.

I was there on Tue around 2:00pm and there was LONG line to get into the three broomsticks - prob an hour wait. However, I was there on sat around 5:00pm and we walked right in with no wait. It depends on the time of day you choose to go there.

It really does depend on the time of day as to what the wait would be like. The first day there we went for lunch around 11:30 and were in line for about an hour. However, our last day we went for a late dinner at 8:20 and we just walked right in and up to the order counter. We also had breakfast there, but that was a reservation.

As for the food, I had the Cornish Pasties which I really enjoyed. I was lived in England for a good portion of my life so I loved being able to get more traditional British foods and the pasties were perfect, just the right amount of curry and the crust was flakey and crisp. I also found the shepperd's pie to be lovely, although the American raised counterparts in my party found it to be dry and bland(in retrospect, I dislike most American versions of this dish as they are usually over spiced and not cooked properly so I can see their view on it). The chicken and ribs were also very good, and I loved the roasted potatoes on the platter.

As for breakfast, I had the British platter which I loved. Fresh, authentic British bacon, sweet baked beans, and black pudding along with eggs and sausage. I would however caution people who have never experienced a British breakfast to think before ordering this, the black pudding alone freaked out a few people at my table. However, everyone else enjoyed their breakfast as well, such as the pancake platter and the American breakfast.

All in all I found the food at the Three Broomsticks to be wonderful for counter service and the chocolate triff for desert is to die for.

We were at the park for the Grand Opening. We didn't go the first day (18th) just because we were so busy with everything else. However, we went the next day (19th) at about 1ish. The line was pretty long. It went outside a good bit but it actually only took us about 25 minutes to get up to the register. I was really impressed because they said the wait was an hour but it obviously went quicker than that. Then it took us less than ten minutes to get our food and it was fantastic.

I had Cornish Pasties, Salad and a Frozen Butterbeer. It all tasted fantastic. My only regret is not trying one of the desserts that sound so delicious.

My friend had Shepherd's Pie, Salad and Frozen Butterbeer. I tried hers and it tasted fabulous too. We were both very satisfied with the meals we'd gotten.

I don't remember the exact prices of our meals but I remember it not being that expensive.
