How is the food at Mara in AKL?

We'll be resort hopping one day and were considering going to Mara for a CS meal. The menu looks good. So can any recommend something good there?

It's a food court...I don't think you'll find anything particularly memorable there (either good or bad).

The food at the Mara is rather tasty. If your CS meal is lunch, they have some really good sandwiches with rather generous portion sizes. While I agree it's nothing so memorable that you can't skip it, you won't be disappointed if you eat there. Enjoy the AKL though, it's maybe the best resort on property!

If you like pumpkin pie, I highly recommend the butternut squash soup at Mara. It's my absolute favorite soup anywhere, and a big reason why I enjoy staying at AKL. That with some fruit or whole wheat pitas may leave room for their zebra domes for dessert. On the other hand, I didn't like the African stew in a bread bowl, too spicy for me.

loved the chicken pita wrap and cous cous! I think it's one of the best counters and was never really busy. Wonderful staff as well

me personaly i dident like it too much when we were there in sep. my fave place is still port orleans riverside the have a good selection but its not a destination resort

Best I can say about it is it was "eh". But it is what is-counter food.

It's good for CS. We've eaten there many times and the food has always been good.

It is a good resort CS. Obviously because it is a deluxe it is much smaller than a value or mod cs but the food is pretty good. We usually just have breakfast or lunch though.

DH and I think it's the best food court we've found on property. He loved his chicken caesar salad and carrot cake. I can't wait to get another Chicken pita. We're staying at AKL this weekend and look forward to going back there.

We stay at AKL often and really enjoy Mara. I like their fried shrimp basket, chicken caesar salad, and also their pizzas. For desert zebra domes or fruit smoothie.

The food at Mara is good, the mac and cheese is great for kids, and they play old Disney cartoons in the corner.

My husband and I have dined at the Mara a few times and each time we've been very happy with our meal. I really like the veggie burger that they serve. It isn't the "normal" veggie burger you get at most of the CS, it had a cumin sort of flavor. Really tasty. And like so many others have mentioned, they have the Zebra Domes. My husband would live on those if given the chance.
